Intrusive Thoughts

It doesn't play the game for you. It doesn't help you optimize your rotation. Instead, it whispers terrible, hilarious, and self-sabotaging ideas to you based on exactly what you are doing, where you are, and what class you are playing.

Features

  • Class & Spec Specific: The Void knows you are a Survival Hunter and will tell you to Harpoon into the fire. It knows you are a Blood Death Knight and will suggest you Grip the boss.

  • Context Aware: It knows when you are Solo (telling you to jump off cliffs) vs when you are in a Group (telling you to Life Grip the tank).

  • Socially Awkward: Targeting another player? It might tell you to inspect their gear and judge them, or trade them 1 copper and walk away.

  • Zone Reactive: Walking into Goldshire? The Void is scared. Flying high up? It suggests you dismount.

  • Interactive: Reacts to opening the Map, the Auction House, the Bank, or even the Game Menu.

  • Immersive Mode (NEW): Want a lore-accurate psychotic break? Toggle Immersive Mode on to filter out out-of-character/meta jokes and only hear things your character would actually perceive in the game world.

  • Name Your Demon (NEW): Don't want to be whispered by Yogg-Saron? Enter a custom name in the options. Let "Bob" or "Your Ex" tell you how to live your life.

  • Rainbow of Agony (NEW): Pick from a list of standard Class Colors or use a custom color wheel to perfectly color-code your personal flavor of madness.

  • Seamless Chat Integration: Uses the standard in-game "Whisper" sound and formatting ([Intrusive Thought] whispers: ...) to blend seamlessly into your chat window and trigger your fight-or-flight response.

If you are a Priest:

"Life Grip the tank. Pull him into the hole."

If you are a Mage:

"Put a portal to Ancient Dalaran on top of the Warlock closet."

If you are Flying:

"Dismount. Just do it. See if you bounce."

How to Use & Configure

  1. Install the addon.

  2. Play the game.

  3. Try not to listen.

  4. Go to Interface Options > Addons > Intrusive Thoughts. Here you can choose whether the voices come from ONE specific entity, ALL of them at random, or your own Custom Name and Color.

⚠️ Disclaimer

Intrusive Thoughts is a flavor text addon only. It cannot actually cast spells, delete your hearthstone, or force you to pull the boss. If you actually listen to the voice and pull the boss... that's on you.
