HideChat lets you instantly switch between immersive gameplay and full communication. Nothing is deleted — your chat is simply hidden until you choose to bring it back.

⚙️ Installation & Usage

Download and extract the addon.
Copy the folder into the correct AddOns directory for your client:
🟦 Retail → _retail_/Interface/AddOns/
🟨 MoP (5.5.1) → _classic_/Interface/AddOns/
🟩 Classic Era (1.15.7) → _classic_era_/Interface/AddOns/
Log into WoW and reload your UI if necessary.
A “Chat” toggle button will appear on the left side of your screen.
Click the button or type /hc to hide or show your chat whenever you want.
Drag the button to your preferred position — HideChat will remember it automatically.

🌍 Compatibility

HideChat works with Retail, Classic Era, and MoP (5.5.1) clients. It does not modify or interfere with your friends list, QuickJoin panel, voice chat buttons, or other addons. It focuses purely on your chat window — clean, simple, effective.
