A World of Warcraft Classic Era addon that displays a green dot on raid frames for guild members in both regular raids and battlegrounds.

Features

  • Shows a green indicator dot on raid frames for guild members
  • Works in regular raids (10, 20, 40 player)
  • Works in battlegrounds (Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley)
  • Supports multiple raid frame addons (default UI, ElvUI, Grid, Grid2)
  • Lightweight with minimal performance impact
  • Auto-updates when raid composition changes

Installation

  1. Download the addon
  2. Extract the GuildRaidIndicator folder to your WoW addons directory:
    • Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\_classic_era_\Interface\AddOns\
    • Mac: /Applications/World of Warcraft/_classic_era_/Interface/AddOns/
  3. Restart WoW or type /reload in chat

Usage

The addon works automatically once installed. Green dots will appear on raid frames for any raid member who is in your guild.

Commands

  • /gri or /guildraidindicator - Show help
  • /gri debug - Toggle debug mode (shows diagnostic messages)
  • /gri refresh - Force refresh all indicators

Troubleshooting

No green dots appearing

  1. Make sure you're in a guild (type /g to check)
  2. Verify guild members are in your raid/battleground
  3. Try /gri refresh to force update
  4. Enable debug mode with /gri debug to see diagnostic messages

Dots appear in wrong position

The addon tries to detect your raid frame addon automatically. If dots are misaligned, you may be using a custom raid frame addon that needs specific support. Please report the addon name for compatibility updates.

Performance Issues

If you experience lag:

  • The addon updates every 0.5 seconds by default
  • Try /reload to reset the addon
  • Disable other addons to check for conflicts

Supported Raid Frames

  • Default WoW raid frames
  • Default WoW party frames
  • CompactRaidFrame (Blizzard)
  • ElvUI raid frames
  • Grid/Grid2 raid frames

Known Issues

  • Some custom raid frame addons may not be supported
  • In very large battlegrounds (40v40), there may be a slight delay before indicators appear
  • Guild information may take a moment to load after logging in
