Description
GrieferGuard – Streamer-Friendly Anti-Griefing Tools (Classic)
GrieferGuard is a lightweight World of Warcraft Classic addon designed to reduce the visual, audio, and social impact of griefers — especially useful for streamers and content creators.
The addon focuses on UI-level filtering and mitigation.
Data is purely local and not shareable between users!
Smart Sound Ducking
- Automatically lowers global sound effects volume when a marked griefer casts spells or spams abilities
- Restores volume after a configurable delay once the spam stops
- Adjustable ducking strength and release time
Chat & Emote Filtering
- Hides chat messages from marked players:
- Say
- Yell
- Whisper
- Emotes / Text Emotes
- Keeps your chat clean and stream-safe
Name & UI Anonymization
- Replaces the names of marked players with a neutral label in:
- Tooltips
- Target frame
- Focus frame
- Customizable anonym label presets (e.g. Griefer, Unknown, Player)
Nameplate Control (where possible)
- Hides or neutralizes nameplates of marked players
- Includes periodic re-hiding to counter nameplate addon redraws (e.g. Plater)
- UI-only: does not affect player models or targeting
Invite & Trade Blocking
- Automatically blocks interactions from marked players:
- Party invites
- Guild invites
- Trade requests
- Prevents spam popups and interaction griefing
