Description
FRENDS: Quest & Leveling Companion
FRENDS is an in-game quest and leveling companion for World of Warcraft, with separate route packages for WoW Forever and WoW Classic Era.
WoW Forever: Alliance routes for 28 supported race and class combinations, currently levels 1–30. Levels 30–60 will follow as soon as possible.
Classic Era: Alliance routes for 20 and Horde routes for 22 supported race and class combinations, through level 60.
A route that adapts to you
Most guides are a fixed list. FRENDS starts from a planned route for your race and class, then rebuilds the part in front of you around where you are, what is in your quest log and your level.
Optimize: One click syncs with the game and builds a local round where you stand. Unfinished pickups, objectives and turn-ins in that region, from earlier and later in the route, are gathered together and ordered by their real map positions.
XP before it fades: When two steps are about equally close, the quest that turns grey first goes first, including the quests it unlocks. A clearly closer step still wins.
No pointless trips: If the guide is waiting in another zone that only has quests close to grey left, and you are not near them, Optimize moves on to the next visit worth the trip. Quest chains you still need, quests in your log, class quests and quests you added are always kept.
Changing region: Pick up a quest or make progress elsewhere and FRENDS offers to continue there. Work you leave behind is never marked done; it comes back when you return.
Grey quests: Skipped automatically, unless a later quest needs them or they are ready to turn in.
Follow the route
Compact tracker: See the next action, live objective counts and the quests you can do together at this stop. Use Back, Next or Skip to control your position.
Hub list: Expand the tracker to see every quest open at this stop and in this zone visit, with counts.
Active quest: Kill something for another quest in your log and the guide follows it until it is done.
Full route: Browse zone visits with numbered stops, zone maps, a NOW marker and your position.
Arrow and Target button: Point to the next NPC or the nearest mobs and target them. A quest item button appears for "use this item" quests.
Travel hints: When to fly, when to hearth and where to set your hearthstone.
Smart resume: Continue from your character's current quest progress.
Personal route edits: Pick up an off-route quest and it joins your route where it adds the least walking; abandon it and it leaves again. Hide completed steps or undo progress.
Dungeon preparation: Outside pickups and prerequisite chains are collected before each planned run.
Class quests: Follow supported class quest chains alongside the main route.
Your map, your choice
A FRENDS button on the world map: left click hides or shows every FRENDS marker, right click chooses what to show.
Quest objectives: Markers for every unfinished quest in your log (sword to kill or loot, dot to collect, note to explore), drawn on top of everything else, with individual spawn points up close.
Pickups and turn-ins: A bright "!" for upcoming pickups and "?" for quests ready to turn in, on the world map and minimap.
All quests: Quest givers for your race and class, coloured by difficulty.
Services: Mailboxes, your class trainers, weapon masters, trainers for your professions (or all professions), poison vendors and repair.
Travel: Known flight paths, boats, zeppelins, trams and portals, plus dungeon entrances.
Track your journey
Ding banner: See a summary of quests, dungeons, XP-granting kills and time played when you level up.
Level History: Review time per level from /played, kills, quests, deaths, net gold and ding locations.
Pace chart: Compare fastest and slowest levels with account-wide best times.
Gear upgrades: Improved equipment slots glow in the character panel.
Trainer reminders: In a capital city, see how many new class spells are waiting.
Helpful extras
Keep for later: When your mobs drop a trade good another route quest needs, you see how many to keep.
Vendor prices: Sell prices in item tooltips, and tmost is marked.
Quest info: Quest levels in the quest log and chat links, quest icons on enemy nameplates, quest progress on mouseover and quest sounds.
Bag space: A warning while killing or looting with
Game-specific features are enabled according to the selected package. WoW Forever includes reminders for food that explicitly grants 5% experience from kills, plus library book markers and campsite planning. Classic Era uses Well Fed reminders and does not include Forever's XP food, library book or campsite systems.
Route and location data are references, not live verification. Some locations come from local game-data snapshots and published route references. Follow your character's quest log when the game differs. Route optimization uses estimated distances from known positions; FRENDS does not claim to be a measured fastest route.
