FrameUnlocker-1.8.1
What's new
Version 1.8.1
New Features
- Separate Map and Quest log layouts - On WoW Forever and Retail, where the quest log is part of the map, the Panels page now lists Map and Quest log separately, each with its own position and size. The Quest log layout is used when you open it as the quest log (L, or clicking a tracked quest); opening the map with M keeps the Map layout, even with the quest list showing beside it. Existing "Map & quest log" settings carry over to Map.
- Condensed quest log - A new option on the Panels page, under its own Condensed quest log header, shows just the quest list when you open the quest log, without the map beside it. The map opened with M is unchanged. Map buttons that other addons add to the map (Questie, RareScanner, HandyNotes, ...) are hidden in the condensed list too.
- M and L switch instead of closing - While the map and quest log look different (condensed quest log on, or either one unlocked), pressing M on the quest log switches to the map, and L on the map switches to the quest log, instead of closing the window.
Bug Fixes
- Arena frames were scaled twice - On Classic clients, the arena scale was applied to both the arena container and each enemy frame inside it, so 1.5 came out as roughly 2.25 (and 0.7 as roughly 0.5). It now applies once.
- Lock icon on move anchors had no explanation - The lock icon now has a tooltip, and the chat prompt when you start moving a frame now says to click the lock icon (it previously referred to a "Lock" button that no longer has a label).
- Party frame scaling could stop login setup on an error - The party member repositioning step that runs with party frame scaling now has the same error guard as its other entry points, so a problem there can't skip the rest of FrameUnlocker's setup.
Version 1.8.0
New Features
Unlock Blizzard's UI panels - Character, Social, Map & quest log, Spellbook, Talents, Legacy, Professions, Guild & communities, Group finder, and Collections can now be moved and scaled, which is especially handy on WoW Forever where several of them are much larger. Turn panels on individually from the new Panels page under FrameUnlocker in the game's settings. While a panel is unlocked, drag its title bar to move it and drag the grip in its bottom-right corner to resize it live; right-click the grip to reset it. Each panel remembers its own position and size, and unchecking it hands it straight back to the game's normal layout. Spellbook and Talents each keep their own position and size, even on clients where the game draws them in one shared window. Only panels that exist on your client are listed (Classic clients also get a separate Quest log).
Reorganized settings - The main FrameUnlocker page is now an overview with links to two sub-pages: Frames (on-screen elements without a close button: chat, bags, unit frames, loot rolls, quest tracker, raid warnings, arena, below-minimap) and Panels (Blizzard windows with a close button). Slash commands and Reset to Defaults are on the main page.
