FoodWarning

FoodWarning is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that tracks your Hearty Well Fed buff and warns you when it is close to expiring.

Note this is based on what might be a bug, sometimes the buff refresh works and sometimes it does not. In my last raid it worked for half of us.

When your tracked buff drops below your configured threshold, the addon shows:

• A warning icon at your chosen screen position
• A countdown timer under the icon

Features

• Tracks Hearty Well Fed on the player
• Configurable warning threshold (minutes)
• Dynamic icon size:
  • Smaller in combat
  • Medium out of combat
• Draggable warning icon with saved position
• Simple slash commands for move/reset/options

Installation

1. Place this folder in your AddOns directory:
   • World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/FoodWarning
2. Launch the game (or restart if already running).
3. At character select, ensure FoodWarning is enabled.

How To Use

1. Enter the game and run /reload once after install/update.
2. Open addon settings:
   • Esc -> Options -> AddOns -> FoodWarning
   • Or run /foodwarning options
3. Set the warning threshold in minutes.
4. Move the icon:
   • Run /foodwarning move
   • Drag the icon to where you want it
   • Run /foodwarning move again to exit move mode
5. Reset icon position any time with /foodwarning reset.

Slash Commands

• /foodwarning : Show current buff status in chat
• /foodwarning options : Open FoodWarning settings
• /foodwarning move : Toggle drag-to-move mode
• /foodwarning reset : Reset icon to default position

Refreshing Hearty Well Fed With Non-Hearty Food

If your current Hearty Well Fed is close to expiring, you can often refresh your Well Fed timer by eating another food buff item before it expires.

How it works in practice:

• Eat a food item that grants a Well Fed buff (it does not have to be the exact same "Hearty" version).
• The new food buff can replace or override your current Well Fed aura.
• This effectively refreshes your active Well Fed duration without waiting for full expiration.

Troubleshooting

• If you do not see the icon, confirm your buff is active and below your chosen threshold.
• If needed, reset position with /foodwarning reset.
