Description
Doorstep organizes and manages player hosted house tours by tracking participants, controlling visit order, and providing tools to run smooth and structured group tours for both parties and raids.
How It Works
Players can join the tour queue in two ways:
- Using the Visit Me button in the UI
- Typing a simple chat command if they do not have the addon
Submitted players are automatically added to a shared queue, which is synchronized across the group in real time.
Players can:
- Join the queue
- Update their Neighborhood and House number at any time
- Can add optional House Info (addon only feature)
- Check their current queue position using a simple chat command
- Check the current house being toured using a simple chat command
Core Features
- Automatically builds and maintains a live, shared tour queue
- Displays player name, group number, queue position, neighborhood, house number, and vote results
- Tracks the active house being visited and completed stops in real time
- Separates active participants from completed houses for clarity
- Allows right click interaction on players to view their houses directly
- Supports sorting across all major columns for quick organization
- Maintains queue state even if players leave the group mid tour
Tour Management (Leader Controls)
If you are the party or raid leader, Doorstep provides full control over the tour flow:
- Announce the current or next house to the group
- Progress the tour through the queue in order
- Start and stop a built in tour timer tied to the active house
- Automatically announce when a house tour begins and ends
- Reset the entire tour and queue when needed
- Remove players from the queue with automatic reordering
- Send instructions to the group through chat
- Customize announcement and instruction messages through the Options panel
- Choose whether announcements go to Group Chat or Raid Warning
Built In Tour Timer
- Starts per house, not just globally
- Displays remaining time in real time
- Announces when a house tour begins and when it finishes
- Syncs across the group so everyone stays aligned
Optional Voting System
- Players can vote once per active house
- Live vote counts are displayed during the visit
- After each stop, votes are finalized and converted into rankings
- Supports tied rankings with a clear TIE label
- Completed houses move to a separate results section with final rankings
- Rankings persist even if players leave the group
