Description
Don't Talk is a minimalistic PvP chat control addon with two modes:
- Whitelist – strict outgoing filter (Arena & Battlegrounds)
- No Chat – fully disables player chat (incoming + outgoing) in rated PvP
Its purpose is simple: either allow only approved words, or disable player chat entirely for focused, tilt‑free gameplay. This makes the addon extremely effective for:
- reducing impulsive or emotional messages
- preventing tilt‑typing
- enforcing clean, concise team communication
- or going full silent mode in rated PvP
How it works:
- Type
/dtalkor/donttalkto open the settings window - Use the mode slider to switch between Whitelist and No Chat
- Whitelist mode: enter a comma‑separated list of allowed words (starter list: https://pastebin.com/Ubyz9U8C)
- During Arena or Battleground matches, outgoing messages are checked
- If a message includes any word not in your list, it’s blocked instantly
- Slash commands (e.g. /target, /focus) always work
- No Chat mode: blocks all player chat in rated PvP (incoming + outgoing)
- Outside PvP instances, your chat works normally
