An automated quest assistant that supports auto quest handling, quest filtering, automatic reward selection, auto-equipping items, skipping animations, and more.

Description

DFCN Auto Quest Helper

Smart Quest Automation for World of Warcraft

An intelligent quest assistant that automatically handles quest interactions, applies smart filtering, selects optimal rewards, equips upgrades, skips animations, and more.

How to Use

Configuration: Navigate to ESC → Options → AddOns

Key Features

1. Automated Quest Handling

Automatically accepts eligible quests and turns in completed ones (excluding blacklisted quests)

Auto-selects quest options in NPC dialogues

Temporary override: Hold any modifier key (Alt/Shift/Ctrl) while clicking NPCs to disable auto-handling

2. Auto-click Blue Dialogue Options

Instantly selects blue-colored dialogue options like "The Theater Troupe", "Awakening The Machine", and "Lorewalker Cho's Stories"

Temporary override: Hold modifier keys while interacting with NPCs

3. Skip Warband-Completed Quests

Automatically skips quests marked as "Warband Completed" (unless whitelisted or weekly Spark/Weekend Event quests)

Whitelist exception: Coffer Key/Key Shard reward quests (e.g., 'Urge to Surge', 'More Than Just a Phase', 'The Theater Troupe') are always accepted

Legion Remix note: Recommended to disable this option as most quests become Warband-completed on alts

Compatibility: Disable other quest automation addons to avoid conflicts - otherwise this feature may not work as intended

4. Skip Repeatable Quests

Filters out blue exclamation mark quests and select repeatable yellow quests (unless whitelisted)

Whitelist exception: Coffer Key/Key Shard reward quests are always accepted

Legion Remix note: Recommended to disable due to the abundance of weekly/daily repeatable content

Compatibility: Disable other quest automation addons to avoid conflicts - otherwise this feature may not work as intended

5. Smart Quest Reward Selection

Automatically selects optimal rewards from multiple equipment options using intelligent logic(see detailed flowchart for decision process)

Limitations: Basic spec/equipment type judgment; complex items (e.g., Agility vs Intellect staves) may require manual selection

Safety feature: Forces manual selection when weapons/off-hands with significant upgrades are detected

6. Auto-equip Upgrades

Automatically equips better items based on sophisticated logic (see detailed flowchart for decision process)

Recommended: Enable alongside Feature 5 for seamless reward-to-equip workflow

Legion Remix: Highly recommended for this game mode!

Smart filtering: Only equips BoP items, respects armor type restrictions, handles unique items (rings/trinkets/one-hand weapons)

Set item protection: Never replaces active set items; respects weapon preferences (2H for 2H classes, 1H+OH for dual-wield/casters)

Retail limitation: Disabled when equipped item level exceeds 680 (no restriction in Legion Remix)

7. Paragon Reputation Detection (Auto-enabled)

Automatically monitors all reputations for available Paragon chests

Setup requirement: Reputations must be expanded in the reputation panel (press 'C' → switch to Reputation tab → click '+') for detection (one-time per reputation)

Customization: Hide unwanted reputations using '-' to exclude from monitoring

Disable option: Hiding all reputations effectively turns off this feature

8. Animation & Cutscene Skipping

Automatically bypasses talking head animations, cutscenes, and cinematic sequences

9. Auto-Talk & Blacklist

You can mark any gossip option from any NPC (repair, vendor, trainer, etc.) in any type of content—dungeons, battlegrounds, delves—to be auto-selected.

Whitelist example: During the Eversong Woods banquet quest where you serve wine to nobles, you normally have to pick one of two responses every time. Now just add one of them as a green W (whitelist), and that choice will be picked automatically whenever you talk to that NPC again.

Blacklist example: The Horde flight master in Moonglade has a single gossip option, so auto-select will always send you flying to Thunder Bluff with no way to bail out mid-flight. If you don't want to disable one-click auto-talk entirely, simply hold Shift when talking to the NPC and mark that option with a red B (blacklist)—the auto-talk will skip it from then on.

Removing a rule: Hold Shift to prevent any automatic selection, then click the green C (to remove from whitelist) or the red C (to remove from blacklist).

10. Auto-Sell Midnight Uncommon/Rare Gear

When visiting any merchant, the addon can automatically sell qualifying non-epic gear from the Midnight expansion. In the current economy, vendoring gear is often more profitable than disenchanting it, so this provides a convenient way to offload unwanted items.

Development Note

As the plugin author comes from a non-coding background, this project was entirely AI-developed (DeepSeek, including localization). Given this unique development approach, some oversights may occur.
