Cooking Tooltip
Inventory management in Classic is a struggle. Every bag slot counts, and deciding whether that "Stringy Wolf Meat" is worth keeping or should be sold can be annoying.
Cooking Tooltip is a lightweight, essential AddOn for WoW Classic that instantly tells you if an item is a cooking ingredient and, more importantly, if your character actually knows the recipe to use it.
Commands: /ct or /cooktip
Key Features
- Visual Icons: Adds a small cooking icon next to relevant items in your tooltips.
- Recipe Detection:
- ✅ Green Checkmark: You have learned a recipe that uses this item.
- ❌ Red Cross: This item is a cooking ingredient, but you haven't learned the recipe yet (or don't have the skill level).
- Smart Scanning: Automatically "learns" your character's known recipes the moment you open your Cooking profession window.
- Multi-Language Support: Works on English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese clients.
How it works
- Install the AddOn.
- Open your Cooking window once. This allows the AddOn to scan your known recipes (you only need to do this once after learning new recipes).
- Hover over any item. The tooltip will now clearly show if it's a cooking mat and if you can use it.
- Check Settings via commands, minimap button or blizzard options.
