Description
This addon filters (removes) LFG type messages from TRADE chat channel. Too many people lately have been spamming Trade channel with LFG voa, LFG icc, LFG etc....These messages fill up the trade channel with lots of "spam" and for those players that are less than level 80, the LFG type messages are just plain annoying since the instance/raid does not apply to players < 80. To enable this addon just type "/tf enable" and now, based on built in keywords like voa, icc, etc. those LFG messages will be filtered out and NOT shown to you. You can always revert back to the default behavior with "tf disable". Other basic commands are "/tf help" and "/tf show". Once enabled you will now enjoy Trade chat in a much better and quieter fashion and actually be able to see those players trying to sell (WTS) and buy (WTB) items!! New Feature to filter out French language for English speaking users.

What is it?
Filters out TRADE channel messages that are "noise" to characters less than level 80 so that you do NOT see them.
Examples of Filtered Chat
The following are simple examples of Trade Chat messages that would be filtered out that you would NOT see if sent to Trade channel:
- LFG voa10
- LF1M icc
- LFG voa25, need Heals and Tanks!
Why was this addon created?
I was leveling another character and got tired of all the "noise" in Trade Channel about 80's looking for this or that group. Wanted a simple addon to filter out messages so I could see the actual WTB/WTS Trade messages that get lost among all the LFG spam.
How do I use it?
Several slash commands available (/tf /tcf /tradefilter /tradechatfilter)
- /tf enable
- This will start filtering Trade channel messages so you do NOT see basic LFG, etc. messages in TRADE. Does not affect the actual LFG channel.
Any configuration for it?
Very basic (and simple) configuration which was intentional. To show or change the current setting:
- /tf show
How do I turn it off?
- /tf disable or
- /tf show
Can I change the keywords that are used to filter?
Indirectly yes. You can modify the addon LUA list of filter key words. If you find something very common just post back to me and I'll add to the next update.
