BLib v1.10.0
What's new
1.10.0
- Settings that can be a character's own. Addons can offer "Use global settings" on each character, on by default. A character that turns it off gets its own copy of the settings to change; everything an addon has recorded stays one set. Belphie's Dialogue, Belphie's Quest Log, Forgemaster, Countinghouse, Satchel, Claw Frames, Lifeline, Steward, Restock and Threatwise use it.
/blib profileworks on the settings the character is using. Needs a full restart: a new file. - One edit mode for all of our addons.
/move(or/blib move) puts a handle over every frame our addons let you move, all at once, with a small toolbar: Lock, a Grid to line things up against, and Reset all. Drag a handle and the frame follows it; click one and nudge it with the arrow keys (Shift: ten at a time); right-click one to put it back where it started. Escape or Lock when you are done. It locks itself when a fight starts, and will not open in one. Each addon's own unlock command opens it too. Needs a full restart: a new file. - Borders and lines stay one screen pixel at any UI scale, and follow a change of scale at once. A one-unit line can round to nothing on a UI scaled below 1; BLib's window borders and separators are now drawn in screen pixels, and redrawn when you change the UI scale or the window size, without a reload. Addons can draw theirs the same way (
BLib.Pixel). - A dropdown list closes when its window or page does. In any of our settings windows, a list left open used to stay floating on screen after its page was switched or the window closed, and a click on it still changed the hidden setting.
- A list that gets shorter no longer leaves its window scrolled past the end. Removing rows from a scrolled list (a deleted group, a cleared search) used to leave a blank strip at the bottom until the next scroll.
- One settings window for every addon. Addons can now put their settings in one BLib window: a list of pages on the left, with headings, and the page chosen on the right, built from the same rows (switches, sliders, choices, boxes to type in, key bindings). A change on one page shows at once on any other page that has it. A list can fold and unfold its groups (Belphie's Quest Log's does), and a page can draw itself. Satchel's settings use it first; the rest of our addons move onto it one at a time, so every settings window looks and works alike.
- Profiles: save, copy and share every addon's settings at once.
/blib profile save <name>keeps the settings of every addon that takes part (Foreverbound, Lifeline, Claw Frames, Restock, Threatwise, Steward, Belphie's Dialogue, Belphie's Quest Log, Satchel, Forgemaster and Countinghouse so far) for your whole account;/blib profile load <name>on another character puts them there, so a layout is copied in one step./blib profile exportgives one string to back them up or share them,/blib profile importtakes one in, and/blib profilelists what is saved. Each addon checks what it is given and keeps its own settings if they will not do; nothing loads in combat.
Supported versions
All future development targets WoW: Forever.
TBC Anniversary is no longer a development target and will receive no further work. Some TBC compatibility still exists in the code and will most likely keep working, but it is not tested, not maintained, and will be dropped the next time a file needs reworking rather than preserved deliberately.
