Precautions (asUnitFrame)

The following issue may occur: Edit Mode Error: Errors may occur when using Blizzard's Edit Mode, making it impossible to change settings. Please disable asUnitFrame before entering Edit Mode.

Installation (CurseForge)

  1. Install asMOD from CurseForge (This includes all other asMOD addons: Link).
  2. When the prompt appears saying "asMOD will change the default interface settings," click Change.
  3. Navigate to ESC >> Options >> Gameplay >> Advanced Cooldown Settings to configure the center buttons. The recommended setup is 6 large icons and 1 buff bar.
  4. Go to ESC >> Macros and use the asMOD Setup macro to apply recommended settings like reduced damage font size. This also enables Misdirection/Tank Assist macros.
  5. Check ESC >> Edit Mode to ensure the "asMOD_Layout" is properly applied. (Note: If you have too many Edit Mode layouts, asMOD_Layout might not be created. Delete existing ones and run /asMOD again).
  6. If you do not want the bottom action bar to hide automatically, uncheck asHideActionBar in ESC >> Addons.
  7. asHideNameplates and asMisdirection require additional configuration. In the video, the option to change friendly nameplates in asNamePlates was enabled, and asNextSkill was set to disabled.

Installation (Inven)

  1. Download the latest version from the Inven Addon Library.
  2. (Optional) Reset game settings by clicking the gear icon next to the Play button in the launcher.
  3. (Optional) Backup or delete your existing Font, Interface, and WTF folders.
  4. Open the game folder from the launcher and extract the files into the _retail_ directory.
  5. When the prompt appears saying "asMOD will change the default interface settings," click Change.
  6. Navigate to ESC >> Options >> Gameplay >> Advanced Cooldown Settings to configure the center buttons.
  7. Use the asMOD Setup macro in ESC >> Macros to apply recommended settings.
  8. Verify the "asMOD_Layout" in ESC >> Edit Mode. (Note: Delete excess layouts if it doesn't appear and rerun /asMOD).
  9. Uncheck asHideActionBar in ESC >> Addons if you want the action bar to stay visible.
  10. asHideNameplates and asMisdirection require additional configuration. In the video, the option to change friendly nameplates in asNamePlates was enabled, and asNextSkill was set to disabled.

Configuration After Talent Change

  1. Select the "asMOD_Layout" in ESC >> Edit Mode.

How to Update

  1. All asMOD addons can be updated via CurseForge.
  2. For Inven users, simply repeat steps 1 and 4 of the installation guide.

How to Uninstall

  1. Delete the Interface and Font folders in your game directory.
  2. Delete the asMOD_Layout in ESC >> Edit Mode.
  3. It is recommended to reset your WoW settings to default.

Positioning Guide

  1. Use the /asconfig command to adjust frame positions.
  2. Disable asUnitFrame before using Edit Mode, and save your layout with a name other than asMOD_Layout.

Cooldown Manager Configuration

  • Navigate to ESC >> Options >> Gameplay >> Advanced Cooldown Settings.

WoW Setting Changes when using asMOD Collection

  • The following World of Warcraft settings will be modified. The asMOD addon may change these settings upon logging in with a new character; if you do not want this, please disable the asMOD addon.

asMOD Philosophy

asMOD aims for simple addons that work without complex configurations. All addons are written to minimize settings; therefore, most requests for additional configuration options will be declined.

1. Troubleshooting Errors

Install the Bugsack and BugGrabber addons to collect error logs. Copy the error message using CTRL+C and provide it when contacting support. The following errors are known and currently unresolvable:

  • asGearScoreLite Conflict: If it conflicts with other item level display addons (e.g., TinyTip), disable the conflicting addon.
  • Edit Mode Error: Blizzard's Edit Mode may not function correctly while asUnitFrame is active. Please disable it temporarily when using Edit Mode.

2. Adjusting Position or Size

  • Size Settings: Some addons support size adjustment. If it is not mentioned in the specific addon manual, size adjustment is not supported.
  • Position Configuration: Refer to the ## Positioning Guide to adjust the layout.

3. Screen UI Scaling

asMOD sets the UI scale to 0.75 upon installation.

  • Adjustment: Change the UI Scale in ESC >> Options >> Graphics.

4. Using Only Specific Addons

Every addon is independent. If you wish to use them individually, search for and install only the ones you need on CurseForge, or disable unwanted features in ESC >> Addons.

5. Initial Setup and Reset

  • Rerunning Setup: If you clicked "No" during installation or the settings are corrupted, type /asmod in the chat window.
  • Full Reset: Type /console cvar_default followed by /asmod. (Note: This will reset all game settings to default).

6. Auto-Hide Feature (Mouseover)

  • Micro Menu & Bags Bar: Visible only when hovered. To keep them always visible, disable asHideBagsBar.
  • Bottom Action Bar: Visible only when hovered. To keep it always visible, disable asHideActionBar.

7. Other General Settings

  • Layout Issues After Talent Change: Type /asmod or re-select the asMOD_Layout in Edit Mode.
  • Nameplate Issues: If nameplates overlap or are not visible, go to ESC >> Options and change the Nameplate Motion Type to 'Stacking Nameplates'.

8. How to Sync Settings Between Characters

asMOD minimizes the use of the ACE Library. To copy settings, use the WTF folder method:

  1. Exit the Game: Close WoW completely. Click the gear icon next to the "Play" button in the Battle.net launcher to find your install folder.
  2. Navigate to: World of Warcraft/_retail_/WTF/Account/[Account Name]/[Server Name].
  3. Copy Character: Copy the folder of the character that is already configured (e.g., OldChar).
  4. Rename Folder: Rename the copied folder (e.g., OldChar - Copy) to the name of the new character (e.g., NewChar).
  5. Restart Game: Log in to apply the identical settings.

9. UI Transparency Out of Combat

  • To clearly distinguish combat status, the UI becomes transparent when out of combat.
  • This feature can be disabled individually for each UI element, such as asPowerBar and asCombatInfo.

10. Changing Fonts (Regarding Font Size)

  • The Inven version of asMOD includes fonts (K_Damage.ttf, the English WoW damage font). These are located in World of Warcraft/_retail_/Fonts.
  • If you are not satisfied with the font, you can delete or replace the files in that folder.
  • The default font shown in the video is not shared directly. It is recommended for use only on QHD resolutions or higher. (You can search for "Devil UI Font" on Google and replace 2002.ttf and 2002b.ttf).

주의사항 (asUnitFrame 관련)

다음과 같은 오류가 발생 할 수 있음. 편집 모드 오류: 편집 모드 사용 시 오류가 발생하여 설정 변경이 불가능할 수 있음. asUnitFrame을 끈 상태에서 편집 모드를 진행 필요.

asMOD 모음집 사용시 와우 설정 변경

  • 와우 설정 중 다음의 설정을 변경 합니다. asMOD 애드온이 신규 케릭 접속시 설정을 변경할 수 있으니 원치 않으신 분은 asMOD 애드온을 꺼 놓으시길 바랍니다.
  1. 조작 설정 > 자동전리품 획득 On
  2. 행동 단축바 > 재사용 대기시간 숫자 보이기 On
  3. 전투 > 주문 경보 투명도 65%, 개인 자원 표시 Off

asMOD철학

애드온이 설정이 부족한 부분이 맘에 안들 수 있습니다. asMOD는 설정없이 사용하는 간단한 애드온을 지향 합니다. 모든 애드온이 설정을 최소화 하는것으로 고려되어 작성 되어 있어 설정 추가 요구는 대부분 거절 됩니다.

1. 오류가 났을 경우 처리 방법

Bugsack BugGrabber애드온을 추가하여 오류를 수집하세요. 오류 메시지를 CTRL+C로 복사해 문의처에 남겨 주세요. 다음 오류는 이미 알고 있고 해결이 안되는 이슈 입니다.

  • asGearScoreLite 충돌: 타 아이템 레벨 확인 애드온(TinyTip 등)과 충돌 시 해당 애드온을 끄고 사용하세요.
  • 편집 모드 오류: asUnitFrame 활성화 시 편집 모드가 동작하지 않을 수 있습니다. 편집 모드 사용 시에는 잠시 꺼두시기 바랍니다.

2. 위치나 크기 변경

  • 크기 설정: 일부 애드온 크기 설정을 지원합니다. 각 애드온 설명서에 설명 되지 않았다면 크기 설정은 지원하지 않습니다.

3. 화면 UI 크기 조정

asMOD 설치시 그래픽 설정의 UI 설정을 0.75로 축소 합니다.

  • 설정 방법: ESC > 설정 > 그래픽에서 UI 크기를 0.75에서 변경하세요.

4. 일부 애드온만 사용하기

모든 애드온은 독립적입니다. 개별 사용을 원하시면 커스포지(CurseForge)에서 검색하여 필요한 것만 설치하거나, ESC > 애드온 목록에서 원치 않는 기능을 끄시면 됩니다.

5. 초기 설정 및 리셋

  • 설정 재실행: 설치 중 "아니오"를 눌렀거나 설정이 꼬였다면 채팅창에 /asmod를 입력하세요.
  • 완전 초기화: /console cvar_default 입력 후 /asmod를 실행하세요. (모든 설정이 초기화되니 주의)

6. 자동 숨김 기능 (마우스 오버)

  • 가방 및 메뉴 바: 마우스를 가져갈 때만 보입니다. 항상 보고 싶다면 asHideBagsBar를 비활성화하세요.
  • 하단 스킬 바: 마우스를 가져갈 때만 보입니다. 항상 보고 싶다면 asHideActionBar를 비활성화하세요.

7. 기타 일반 설정

  • 특성 변경 후 레이아웃 이상: /asmod를 입력하거나, 편집 모드에서 asMOD_Layout을 다시 선택하세요.
  • 이름표(Nameplate) 문제: 이름표가 겹치거나 안 보인다면 ESC > 설정에서 이름표 배열 설정을 '상하 정렬'로 변경하세요.

8. 케릭별 설정 동기화 방법

  • 설정 복사를 위해 WTF 폴더 복사하기를 사용하시면 됩니다.
  • 게임 종료: 와우를 완전히 종료합니다. 베틀넷 런처에서 플레이 버튼 옆 톱니바퀴를 누르면 와우 설치 폴더를 찾을 수 있습니다.
  • World of Warcraft/retail/WTF/Account/[계정명]/[서버명] 경로로 이동합니다.
  • 캐릭터 복사: 기존에 설정이 완료된 캐릭터 폴더(예: OldChar)를 복사하여 같은 폴더에 붙여넣습니다.
  • 폴더 이름 변경: 복사된 폴더(OldChar - 복사본)의 이름을 애드온 설정을 적용할 캐릭터 이름(NewChar)으로 변경합니다.
  • 게임 재접속: 해당 캐릭터로 접속하면 기존 캐릭터의 설정이 동일하게 적용됩니다.

9. 비전투 중 UI 투명도

  • 전투 구분을 위해 비전투중에 UI가 투명화 됩니다.
  • asPowerBar, asCombatInfo 등 각 UI 별로 비전투 투명화 되는 것을 끌 수 있습니다.

10. 폰트 변경 (글씨 크기 관련)

  • 인벤 다운로드 asMOD는 폰트도 포함(K_Damage.ttf, 와우 영문판 데미지 폰트)하고 있습니다. World of Warcraft/retail/Font 가 위치 입니다.
  • 글씨 마음에 안드는 경우 해당 Font를 삭제/변경하시면 됩니다.
  • 영상에 사용중인 기본 Font는 직접 공유는 안하고 있습니다. QHD 이상에서만 사용권장 드립니다. (Devil UI 폰트로 구글 검색, 2002.ttf, 2002b.ttf 변경 하시면 됩니다.)
