What's new

  • Quest progress stays in step with Shortest Path. An objective count changing at the current stop refreshes the journey's text, without sending you back to an earlier stop.

  • See what to do next. The guide leads with your next task and its reason, offers a Start action, and keeps other adventures underneath.

  • An objective area shared by several quests shows the game's own quest area. Shortest Path Forever now draws the client's quest area on the map for a stop, and the guide names every quest an area covers, not only an area with a single quest, so a merged area gets the same outline and the same arrival check.

  • Every header of the guide's overview fits the panel, and a group turns pages. With a few zones open to you the list ran off the bottom of the map panel, and Dungeons and Battlegrounds sat below the fold. Each group now shows as many cards as the panel has room for and its header carries the spellbook's page arrows for the rest, so Continue, Zones, Dungeons and Battlegrounds are all in sight at once.

  • A card says what level its place is. A zone or dungeon card shows its level range at the right of its title, and a battleground the level it opens at, in the colour the game gives a quest of that level: yellow suits you, green is easy, orange is a stretch.

  • Icons keep their shape. A note above the cards, a step's badge and a profession's icon could show a cropped corner of their picture after the same slot had drawn a different kind of icon, and a few rings and marks were a pixel off square. Every icon is now drawn at its own shape, and the overview's spacing is even: a card's icon sits centred, and each group has room above its header.

  • Following a zone's story no longer breaks the panel for some characters. On a character whose race the quest data has no entry for, choosing a zone story raised an error on every refresh and left the panel half drawn. The story's quest list treats that character like any other.

  • The group holding the card you follow has no fold button. That group always stays open so its card is never lost; its header used to show a button that did nothing but quietly save a fold for later.
