Adds Solaris form Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu companion trinkets! Buy them from the Hat Mouse.

Description

REQUIRED DEPENDENCY: Trinket Tinker

-----

The Solaris Region is a fictional Pokemon region covered by a constant mystical aurora that has mutated the pokemon that live there. This mod features the Pikachu evolution line. I created the Solaris Raichu as my fursona back in 2018, and I expanded on the design so that it was no longer a quirky sparkledog raichu, but instead a fully developed regional variant. Based from the Alolan variant, it is a Dark/Psychic type. While I do have other regional variations of pokemon--as well as original species--created, the chu line is where I've dedicated the majority of my attention.

You can buy these trinkets individually at the Hat Mouse from the start for 500 gold. They are available as soon as the hat mouse is, and will shake trees and bushes for you, as well as collecting forage and sending it to your inventory. They will stop collecting when your inventory is full.

Old sprites have been moved to Legacy. Legacy chu trinkets are still available to drop from monsters rarely, and can be spawned in using CBJ cheats, but are no longer available at the hat mouse. Legacy pokeballs have a red X to differentiate them. Legacy trinkets are fully functional, but will not receive updates.

Pokédex

Pichu:

This baby Pokémon is skittish, sticking to the shadows until its sure the area is safe. It’s easily startled and cries easily.

Beware if you make Pichu cry, as where there’s one there’s dozens more, and older members of its family may come to protect it.

Pikachu:

Despite no longer being capable of producing electricity within its body, Pikachu’s cheek pouches still have the ability to store it. It can often be found rubbing its face against things to build up static to use as defense.

Beware mistaking this behavior as friendliness, as wild Pikachu are wary, and trying to pet a seemingly affectionate Pikachu may earn you bitten or shocked.

Raichu:

As their bodies do not produce an overabundance of electricity like their cousins, Solaris Raichu are less aggressive than they are simply mischievous. Gaining psychic power gives them courage, and their curiosity could drive them a little too far in order to sate it. A trained Raichu is a fierce companion, and tends to bond to only one person for its lifetime.

Lore

It’s said that centuries ago, a troupe of Pikachu and Raichu were chased into the Alolan sea by a great evil. The Pikachu drowned against the crushing waves, but the Psychic-typed Raichu were able to stay afloat on their tails. Although many were lost to exhaustion and hunger, many more still survived the harrowing journey across the ocean, and they were the first Pokémon of their kind to step foot on the Solaris Isles. To survive this strange land, with its strange power, strange Pokémon, and strange people, the Raichu had to adapt, and they had to do so quickly. As numbers rose, their traits changed over time. No longer a base electric type, the rodents developed to darkness to better compliment their nocturnal lifestyle, and their coats went from a bright russet orange to a dark shadowed black to blend in.

The strange magic of the land did not leave them unscathed, as plumes of prismatic fur began to appear, much like other Pokémon of this region, and just as other Pokémon species bore a mutation compared to other regions, so too did the newcomers, useless prismatic wings forming throughout their evolutionary chain.

In modern day, the Raichu are loved for their wooly manes, which can be trimmed and woven into beautiful materials. They make excellent and mischievous battle partners, but are difficult to earn the trust of if their trainer did not acquire them while they were still a Pichu.

Rarer still, a shiny form is coveted among collectors, bearing a pearly white coat and vivid markings, a diurnal form of the nocturnal species.
