Description
Pelipper Town
Pelipper Town brings Pokémon into the everyday life of Stardew Valley.
Explore the valley with Pokémon by your side, find them in different habitats, let suitable partners help around the farm, and experience some new quests involving Pokémon and familiar townspeople.
The mod can be played solo or in multiplayer and works with new or existing saves.
What you can do:
-
Find Pokémon throughout the valley and its surrounding areas
-
Catch Pokémon using a hands-on throwing system
-
Keep a party and travel with an active partner
-
Let suitable Pokémon help with crops, animals, foraging, fishing, mining, orchards, crab pots, and other farm work
-
Train Pokémon, choose moves, build bonds, and evolve them
-
Take part in battles and new quests involving villagers and their Pokémon
-
Breed compatible Pokémon in a Barn
-
Play with separate parties and progression for each farmer in multiplayer
-
Adjust encounters, chores, combat, controls, accessibility options, and other parts of the experience
Multiplayer
Pelipper Town is playable in multiplayer.
Each farmer has their own starting journey, party, active partner, progression, and personal Pokémon storage. The host manages shared wild encounters and world activity, while farmhands can still catch, command, train, battle, breed, trade, and manage their own Pokémon.
Getting started
After loading a new or existing save, leave the farmhouse and meet Marnie. She will help you choose how you want to begin.
Press P to open the Partner Journal. This is the main place to manage your party, choose moves and work policies, check progression, and look for Pokémon.
The default keyboard controls are:
-
P: Open the Partner Journal
-
O: Send out, swap, or recall the selected Pokémon
-
[ and ]: Select a party member
-
Hold G, then release: Aim and throw a Poké Ball
-
B inside a Barn: Open the Barn Pokémon menu
-
F5: Enable or disable the companion system
Controller controls are included. By default, R3 selects the next party member, tapping L3 sends or recalls it, holding L3 opens the Partner Journal, holding the left trigger aims a throw, and RB opens the Pokémon Barn menu while inside a Barn.
All bindings can be changed through Generic Mod Config Menu.
Requirements
-
Stardew Valley 1.6
-
SMAPI 4.0 or later
-
SpaceCore 1.28.4 or later
-
Generic Mod Config Menu 1.16 or later, optional but recommended
Recommended settings mod
Generic Mod Config Menu is optional but strongly recommended.
It gives you an in-game menu where you can shape Pelipper Town around the experience you want. You can adjust encounter pacing, capture assistance, combat, companion health, farm chores, controls, villager partners, accessibility options, and more.
The mod can still be configured without it by editing config.json.
Installation
-
Install SMAPI and SpaceCore.
-
Download the Pelipper Town release.
-
Extract the PelipperTown.Mod folder into Stardew Valley’s Mods folder.
-
Launch Stardew Valley through SMAPI.
When updating, delete the previous PelipperTown.Mod folder before installing the new version. Do not merge the two folders.
I recommend backing up any save you care about before trying the mod or installing a major update.
Optional compatibility
Stardew Valley Expanded, East Scarp, and Ridgeside Village are optional.
Pelipper Town can add regional encounters and villager partners when these expansions are installed. Separate integration packs are available for players who prefer to keep that compatibility as its own installation.
Artwork and credits
Pokémon sprites and portraits are primarily adapted from the PMDCollab SpriteCollab archive. The packaged credit indexes retain the available source and contributor histories for the selected artwork.
Item and interface artwork also uses material from pokeemerald-expansion. Some visual effects are adapted from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, and a small amount of artwork is derived from Stardew Valley assets.
