Your horse is more than just a vehicle—it's your partner. Horse Master allows you to customize your riding speed to be faster, slower, or dynamically linked to your farmer's physical condition.

Description

Horse Master is a lightweight mod that gives you full control over horse movement speed. You can choose between a simple, constant speed boost or an immersive "Adaptive Mode" where your horse's performance reflects your current energy levels.

• Ride Faster (or Slower): Configure speed boosts from -5 (sluggish) all the way to +10 (lightning fast).

• Adaptive Energy System: An optional mode where your speed changes automatically as your farmer gets tired throughout the day.

• Instant Response: Speed changes apply instantly when mounting or dismounting. No sliding or "sticky" speed buffs while walking.

• Lag Free: Optimized code ensures zero impact on game performance.

Game Modes

You can switch between these modes in the config menu:

1. Constant Mode

Simple and effective. Set a specific speed boost (e.g., +3), and your horse will always travel at that speed, regardless of how tired you are or what time it is.

2. Adaptive Mode

For players who want realism and immersion. In this mode, your horse acts as an extension of your own stamina. If you are exhausted, you cannot command the horse effectively, and it will slow down.

• 100% Energy: Fresh and ready to run. (Default: +4 Speed)
• 99% - 70% Energy: Standard riding pace. (Default: +3 Speed)
• 69% - 40% Energy: Getting tired. (Default: +2 Speed)
• 39% - 10% Energy: Visibly slower. (Default: +1 Speed)
• 0% - 9% Energy: Exhausted. The horse refuses to gallop. (Default: -2 Speed)

All values above are fully configurable!

Requirements

• SMAPI
• Generic Mod Config Menu (Required to change settings)

Installation

• Download the mod.
• Unzip the HorseMaster folder into your Stardew Valley/Mods directory.
• Launch the game using SMAPI.

How to Use

• Configuration: Open the Generic Mod Config Menu (the gear icon on the title screen or in the in-game options tab).
• Debug Mode: Check the "Debug Mode" box to see a display above your player's head showing exactly which speed buff is active and your precise energy percentage.

Compatibility

• Works with Stardew Valley 1.6+.
• Multiplayer compatible (Client-side only). Each player can have their own speed settings without affecting others.
• Compatible with texture replacements for horses.
