"Daldongri: Seasons of the Heart" is a narrative-driven expansion for Stardew Valley, inspired by the heartfelt, slice-of-life storytelling of Korean dramas like "Reply 1988." This mod invites you to become a neighbor in Daldongri, a charming, traditional Korean neighborhood where your presence can help a quiet community rediscover its vibrant spirit.

The World of Daldongri

Just a short walk from the railroad, you'll find a hidden path that leads to the peaceful, self-contained world of Daldongri. As you step into the village, you'll be greeted by the gentle sound of a stream, the sight of traditional hanok-style houses, and the rustle of unique trees like Persimmon, Ginkgo, and Bamboo.

The heart of the community beats within its key locations:

• Mi-ra's Diner: The central social hub of Daldongri. Though it may seem quiet at first, it's a place of warmth and comfort, with its own nostalgic music.

• Ha-eun's General Store: The local shop, which has fallen on hard times. It's a place of potential, waiting for a spark to bring back the customers.

• The Homes of Daldongri: Each of the eight residents has their own unique home, reinforcing the tight-knit nature of this special neighborhood.

Meet the Residents of Daldongri

Daldongri is home to eight new characters, each with their own distinct personality, daily schedule, and personal story. As you build your friendships, you'll uncover their hopes, fears, and dreams. Five of these new neighbors are also marriage candidates.

• Jang Ji-hoon: A gentle and contemplative artist who feels his traditional art is losing its place in the modern world.

• Oh Ha-eun: The pragmatic and fiercely independent owner of the Daldongri General Store, stressed about her struggling business.

• Halmeoni Kim: The revered matriarch of Daldongri, a keeper of tradition who watches over the community with a quiet wisdom.

• Park Jae-min: The town's quiet and melancholic historian, who fears that Daldongri's unique history is being forgotten.

• Yoon Mi-ra: The boisterous and big-hearted owner of the Daldongri Diner, who feels the decline of community gatherings most keenly.

• Lee Jae-eun: A warm and empathetic seamstress who notices the emotional "frays" in her neighbors' lives.

• Kim Min-jun: A gruff but kind carpenter and devoted single father who expresses his care through acts of service.

• Choi Sung-ho: An earnest and sometimes awkward young police officer, eager to connect with the community on its own terms.

A Living, Breathing Community

The story of Daldongri unfolds over a three-year narrative arc. You are not a hero who saves the town overnight, but a new neighbor whose consistent presence and empathy help the community heal and grow. Through a series of mail-in quests and personal interactions, you'll help the residents with their personal projects, from collecting items for a "Community Memory Box" to launching an initiative to sell locally-grown produce. Your journey will culminate in heartwarming events that celebrate the renewed spirit of Daldongri.

New in Your Valley

"Daldongri: Seasons of the Heart" enriches your Stardew Valley experience with a wealth of new content:

• New Crops: Grow Perilla Leaf and Gochu Peppers in the summer.

• New Trees: Cultivate Persimmon Trees for a fall harvest, and find wild Ginkgo and Bamboo Trees.

• New Artisan Goods: Create Persimmon Wine, Perilla Juice, Persimmon Jelly, Pickled Perilla, and more.

• New Recipes: Cook over a dozen new Korean-inspired dishes, including Kimchi, Cold Barley Tea, Sweet Red Bean Porridge, and the Daldongri Special Cracker.

Installation

1. Install the latest version of SMAPI & Content Patcher.

2. Download this mod and unzip it into your Stardew Valley/Mods folder.

3. Run the game using SMAPI.

This mod is compatible with Stardew Valley 1.6 and works in single-player and multiplayer.
