Description
“The night is dark and full of terrors…”
This mod helps make Forgotten Hollow the eerie vampire town it was meant to be. All street lamps, modern fences, and (depending on the option you choose) clutter have been stripped away, leaving the world in near-total darkness. Good for Halloween storytelling, or medieval saves ;)
Features:
• Removes all street lamps and modern light sources
• Removes modern fences and some decorative clutter
• Makes nighttime much darker and spookier
• Originally made for medieval and fantasy saves
Versions included:
• Minimal ("Benches"): removes only chess tables from the town square
• Standard ("No Benches" ): removes chess tables and benches
• Medieval ("No Benches & Restroom" ): removes the above and the modern public bathroom as well
• Complete ("Remove All"): removes all of the above plus the statue in the middle
For Medieval Players:
I suggest using Simverses’ default replacement for the base game public bathrooms — it fits perfectly with medieval and fantasy saves.
🕸️ Installation Instructions
This is not a package file that goes into your Mods folder!
You must drop the file directly into your main Sims 4 installation folder. (Example (I play via Steam): Steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 4)
-
Download the mod and choose the version you want.
-
Open the folders until you find the file named:
GP04_VampireWorld_01.package -
Rename the file to:
GP04_VampireWorld_01.world(Right-click → Rename)
Unfortunately,
.worldfiles cannot be uploaded directly to CurseForge, so the mod is provided as a.packagefile. The file will not work as a package file — you must rename it to.worldfor it to function correctly.
Once renamed, it will work perfectly.
-
After that, move the files into your main Sims 4 installation folder.
Example for Steam users:Steam/steamapps/common/The Sims 4Example for EA App users:C:\Users\<Your Username>\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
💾 Uninstallation & Game Repair
If you decide you want the original decorations back, you can:
- Use the Game Repair function
- Restore your backup of the original game folders.
This mod does not affect your saves, CC, or anything in your Documents folder.
It only modifies files in your installation directory, and it’s 100% safe to remove.
🔄 After Patches or Expansions
Yes, you might need to reinstall the mod after a patch if EA updates the world files.
This will not affect your saves — just redrop the renamed .world file into your game folder.
⚰️ Notes:
- The textures visible in the screenshots are from my personal game setup and are not included in this mod.
- I recommend to make a backup of your files in the \The Sims 4\Delta\GP04\Worlds\Areas\ directory.
Hope you like it! If you have any issues or questions, feel free to reach out — I’ll do my best to help.
