Tired of visiting NPCs only to have them set their kitchen on fire? This script automatically grants Cooking, Gourmet Cooking, and other skills to housed NPCs to ensure safe visits and a more realistic world.

Description

🌟 Overview

Have you ever visited a beautifully renovated NPC house, only for the host to immediately start cooking and set the entire kitchen ablaze? Townie Realism Overhaul: Fireproof npcs & Auto-Skills(cooking and more) solves this classic problem at its root.

This lightweight Python script ensures that your unplayed, housed neighbors actually know how to cook, completely preventing those disastrous and annoying fires during social visits. Plus, it adds a touch of realism by granting them other age-appropriate background skills!

Key Features

  • Disaster Prevention: Automatically sets Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skills to Level 4 or higher for all unplayed, housed NPCs (Young Adult and older). Say goodbye to visiting fires!

  • Career-Based Bonuses: NPCs working in the Culinary career will receive even higher Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skill levels, reflecting their professional expertise.

  • Age-Scaled Skill Progression: It doesn't just stop at cooking. NPCs receive additional background skills, with the levels dynamically scaling based on their current age stage, making the townies feel more lived-in.

  • Seamless Background Triggers: The script automatically runs checks when you enter the neighborhood map or switch between worlds. Newly moved-in NPCs are handled instantly without any manual intervention.

⚙️ How to Install

  1. Download the TownieRealismOverhaul_Elite_AutoCareer.ts4script file.

  2. Place the file directly into your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods folder.

  3. DO NOT UNZIP the .ts4script file.

  4. Ensure "Script Mods Allowed" is checked in your game options menu.

  5. Keep it shallow: The script file can be placed at most one sub-folder deep (e.g., Mods/TownieRealism/).

⚠️ Compatibility

  • Base Game Compatible: Yes.

  • Conflicts: Should be highly compatible with most mods. It only modifies skill levels dynamically upon map loads and does not alter core game tuning files.
