This Mod prevents Pets from turning on Auto Lights, when all Sims are sleeping or optional activatable replaces EA's Auto Lights Feature.

How the Mod works

Ever since Cats & Dogs came out there was one thing that annoyed me a lot. Pets turning on Auto Lights even when all Sims are sleeping.

Unfortunately changing the Light System is not possible (yet) because it is too hard coded. There were a few attempts where I tried to fix that, but I never found a solution which was at least a little bit satisfying. Until now.

This Mod adds a Lot Challenge "Stop it, Lights" which has a schedule where it checks in a 15 minutes interval if all Sims are sleeping or if at least one Sim is awake. Pets will be ignored through Tests. 

When all Sims are indeed sleeping, it will turn all Lights on the Lot off and store the previous Setting of each Light. As long as all Sims are sleeping the Lights will stay off even if Pets are awake. Since it is a 15 minute interval it can take up to 15 minutes until the Mod turns off all Lights, after the last Sim goes to sleep. 

When at least one Sim is awake (except Infants) the previous Light Settings will be restored on all Lights right after the first Sim wakes up.

I know this is not a perfect solution, but I hope it might help a little bit and let Auto Lights and Pets be a little less annoying.

Optional Feature

"Stop it, Lights" Auto Lights

You can enable (or disable) this Feature via the new Interaction on Lights, when the "Stop it, Lights" Lot Challenge is on the Lot.

When the SIL Auto Lights are enabled, it will replace the in-game Auto Lights as well as the default Feature of the "Stop it, Lights" Lot Challenge, which prevents Pets from turning on Auto Lights, when all Sims are sleeping.

The SIL Auto Lights work similar to the Fireplace Auto Light Feature and is based on Broadcasters and hidden Buffs.

The difference between the in-game Auto Lights and the SIL Auto Lights is that Pets get ignored by the SIL Auto Lights but there is a delay between Sims entering/leaving a Room and Lights turning on/off because it does depend on Broadcasters. So it is not as smooth as the in-game Auto Lights unfortunately. 

When a Sim enters a Room and is in a circle (radius of 20)  and in line of sight of a Light, it will get turned on. When the last Sim leaves this circle the Broadcaster will turn the Light off. When two Sims are in the same circle and one Sim goes to sleep the Light should stay on until the second Sim either sleeps as well, or leaves the circle. Sims (except Infants) waking up will turn on all Lights in the Room.

Deactivate (Activate again) Toggle for certain Lights
This Toggle can be used to exclude certain Lights from the Broadcaster. Sims waking up will still turn the Light on though, when it is in the same Room as the Sim is in.

Known Issue
Depending on how small the Room is (or how fast a Sim walks), when a Sim walks through a Room the delay of the Broadcaster can cause the Lights to turn on and off, when the Sim is basically already leaving the Room.
