Description
This mod adds a brand new reward trait to the game that you can grab from the Aspiration Reward Store for just 50 satisfaction points. Once your Sim has it, they’ll get a permanent moodlet that acts kind of like an aspiration bar (if you remember The Sims 2, you’ll know the vibe!).
The bar has five different states that change based on how many whims you’ve completed recently:
- Very Happy
- Happy
- Fine
- Tense
- Very Tense
If you ignore your Sim’s whims, they will start to feel Tense and eventually Very Tense. But if you regularly complete their whims, they’ll become Happy, or even Very Happy!
The idea is to make whims feel like they really matter again. Right now, most players just ignore them, but with this trait, you’ll actually want to pay attention to your Sim’s wants. It turns them into a fun little challenge with real mood consequences!
This is the first version of the mod, and I’m planning to add more depth to it soon - like stronger rewards at the top end and maybe more drawbacks at the bottom, depending on how your Sim is doing.
Also in the works: I’d love to improve the whim system itself! I'm planning to add new whims tied to things like sentiments and personality, so if your Sim has a crush, they might want to tell jokes or chat with them, or if they admire someone, they might want to have deep conversations. That kind of thing.
Overall, the main goal of this mod is to bring whims back into gameplay and make them more fun and meaningful. You’ll find yourself playing much more based on your Sim’s personality—like having snobby Sims start petty arguments while sipping nectar, just because they want to. 😄
