Miscarriage Chance & Abortion
This mods adds a chance to get a miscarriage in-game
How the mod works
With this mod it is possible for pregnant sims to get a cramps and pain buff, with a higher chance when they are really tired and hungry (see more info below).
If that happens you need to go to the hospital with them (via the Phone - Travel menu, you can go alone or with your significant other)
There is still a small chance that your sims will come home and the baby is ok but mostly they will come back with very sad news. Both outcomes will affect the whole household.
Base chance to get a miscarriage:
1st Trimester
- Teen/Young Adult 1,5 %
- Adult 3 %
- Elder 4,5 %
2nd Trimester
- Teen/Young Adult 1.125 %
- Adult 2,25 %
- Elder 3,375 %
3rd Trimester
- Teen/Young Adult 0,75 %
- Adult 1,5 %
- Elder 2,25 %
The following in-game buffs will multiplier the miscarriage chances.
Buffs which will multiplier the base chance x2
- Buff_Motives_Energy_Tired

Optional Add-ons
Add Unborn To Family Tree
Adds babies to the family tree after a miscarriage. They’ll be added with a random first name & the deceased by miscarriage text. Be aware you can delete the addon anytime so no more babies will get added to family trees. If you delete the miscarriage mod itself babies added to the family tree might vanish from it if the game culls them & the deceased by miscarriage text will vanish as well. A huge Thanks (& Credit) to Deaderpool (MC Command Center Creator) who helped me with the script part of this addon!
When you have a miscarried baby in your save/family tree keep either the Miscarriage main mod file or at least the Add to Family Tree addon file installed. When you remove the complete mod, the baby will not be considered a ghost anymore, which would then let it continue to grow up etc. Keep that in mind!
Death Chance
With this add-on it is possible for sims who just had a miscarriage to die.
Chances (will not affect immortal sims)
- Teen/Young Adult 1 %
- Adult 2 %
- Elder 3 %
Infertility Chance
With this add-on it is possible for sims who just had a miscarriage to become infertile.
Chances
- Teen/Young Adult 1 %
- Adult 2 %
- Elder 3 %
7 Days Buff Add-on:
Instead of 2 days (default duration) the Sad/Happy buff will be active for 7 days!
Miscarriage Chance Very Low
Decreases the base chance above x0,25
(For example: base chance 1,5%, 1st Trimester x1, Elder x3, negative buff mulitplier x2 & x5 = 45% + Very Low Chance addon x0,25 = 11,25%)
Miscarriage Chance Low add-on:
Increases the base chance above x2
Miscarriage Chance Middle add-on:
Increases the base chance above x4
Miscarriage Chance High add-on:
Increases the base chance above x6
Be aware if you install two or all three Miscarriage Chance add-ons (low, middle & high) it will ignore the middle & high addon and only recognize the Low Chance add-on!
Other Information:
- After a miscarriage the miscarriage chance is blocked for 7 days (unless you delete all buffs)
