Description
Sometimes the simplest conversations are the ones that move the story forward. Not every moment in life is dramatic. Sometimes it's venting about work, talking about bills, complaining about the weather, sharing good news, or just catching up about life.
That’s exactly what Just In Case V1 is about.
This mod adds everyday conversation depth so your Sims actually feel like they’re living real lives. The little moments. The casual talks. The things people bring up when they’re just sitting around talking.
In this first version, the focus is on those real-life conversations that happen all the time but usually aren’t represented in gameplay.
What’s included in V1:

• 15 new conversation pie menus
• 3 interactions per menu
• 45 total new social interactions
• 2 custom buffs per interaction to reflect how the conversation lands emotionally
Some of the categories include conversations about:
• parenting
• house issues
• job love
• job stress
• money wins
• money struggles
• weather complaints
• pets
• traffic & commuting
• unemployment
• sleep issues
• sickness
• news & daily headlines
• life updates and everyday check-ins
These are the kinds of talks that make Sims feel like actual people. Venting. Laughing. Sharing frustrations. Celebrating small wins. The stuff that quietly builds a story.
Because sometimes a storyline doesn’t start with drama.
Sometimes it starts with a conversation.
Important Note:
For now, this version is user-directed only. Your Sim must click on the Sim they want to talk to in order to access the interactions.
The Auto version is already being worked on and is planned for an update next week, which will allow conversations to happen more naturally during gameplay.
I also have plans for the update to include a feature called “This category doesn’t relate to me.” When selected, it will remove that category from the pie menu so players can customize the conversations to better match their Sim’s life.
Part 2 is already in development and will expand the system even further with more topics and deeper storytelling layers.
This is the beginning.

🧩 If the XML Injector is not installed, certain interactions, buffs, and trait features will not appear or work as intended.
📥 You can download the XML Injector here (by Scumbumbo/Triplis):

Place it directly in your Mods folder (no more than one subfolder deep).
⚠️ Important Installation Rule
Each mod comes in two versions:
-
User‑Directed Version
-
Autonomous Version
You must choose ONE version only.
Do NOT place both versions in your Mods folder at the same time.
Having both installed will cause conflicts, missing interactions, or unexpected behavior.
AUTO Version
-
“Auto” means the actions happen autonomously (without you controlling it).
-
Just like how Sims have a mind of their own.
-
So yes, you will usually NOT see pie menus for mods/files that you downloaded that say AUTO. That’s normal.
User Directed Version
-
“User Directed” means the actions are in your control.
-
Mods/files that say User Directed should show pie menus because you’re the one choosing the interactions.
