Description
This Mod improves the look of the tans that you sim can achieve!
I can't be the only one who thinks the tanning system (that comes with Island Living) can look VERY extreme in this game, often times making your sim 10 shades darker from only a small time spent tanning. This mod aims to fix this, making them appear much more subtle and realistic.
How it works:
Due to the nature of how the tanning system works, I have had to edit each tan for every single skintone in the game (there are over 100 of them), so this took quite a while to complete. On the bright side, it means i've been able to refine each tan for each skintone, as some skintone tans are more extreme and unrealistic than others. I have also fixed some tans being a completely different colour from of their warm / neutral / cool undertone.
This mod is fully compatible with the game’s tanline system, meaning tanlines should still appear correctly with all clothing, including CC clothing (as long as the CC item supports tanlines normally).
To note:
My improvements may not immediately show up on sims who are already tanned at the time of installing. If this happens, just wait for them to lose their current tan and then it should work the next time they sunbathe. This happens as the game essentially creates a temporary texture of your sim when they are tanned, to create the tanlines. This temporary texture doesn't go away until they fully lose their tan.
If you think any of my tan replacements look a little weird feel free to message me and I will try and update them accordingly.
Currently this mod only changes the look of your sim when they tan, not when they get burned. I will be improving the burns in the future.
Future Development:
Improving the look of burns.
Optional addons improving sun lotion & adding treatment for burns.
Requirements / Conflicts:
Requires Island Living Expansion Pack for tanning system.
This mod may conflict with any mod that replaces the in game skintones. Custom skintones should be fine as long as they are a new skintone, and not an override of any pre-existing one.
