Did you know the game's code contains references to physique-change moodlets that were planned, then cut before release?
Prior to release, there was discussion and several articles written about Sims reacting to changes in their weight and fitness. Early developer comments suggested this was something the game might explore, before the idea was ultimately walked back.
Most of the moodlets themselves were removed, and their associated text were pulled from the game files along with them. Only Feelin’ Fit (the moodlet your Sims receive when they've gained muscle) made it into the final game.
This mod restores the missing moodlets, with new text written to match the game’s tone while remaining respectful.
How It Works
When a Sim’s physique noticeably changes, they will now receive one of the following moodlets:
- Losing muscle → Out of Shape (Embarrassed)
- Losing weight → Lookin’ Lean (Confident)
- Gaining weight → More to Love (Confident) for Sims with High Self-Esteem (Growing Together) or traits like Self-Assured, Glutton, Wise, or Arrogant (Kuttoe)
- Gaining weight → Packing It On (Embarrassed) made especially for Sims with Fear of Being Judged, Low Self-Esteem, or traits like Insecure (Kuttoe)
- Gaining weight → Packing It On (Sad) for Sims with the Gloomy trait
- Gaining muscle → Feelin’ Fit (Confident)
All moodlets last for one Sim day, increased from the original four hours. They will be removed early if a Sim works to reverse the changes.
