STATUS: Cleared for patch 1.124. Last updated February 8, 2026, to v2026-1 for patch 1.121 and the Royalty pack. NOTE: Sleeping Pods are now a separate (and deletable) file; they were previously part of the "Standard" file.
I’ve adopted this mod from Cyclelegs and MonoChaos. The original mod was by Shimrod101. My mod avatar is by Eluchil, who is basically my co-modder on this one now. Packs and early access provided by The Sims Creator Program. #SimsPartner

What This Mod Does
No matter how you choose to design your Sims’ bedrooms, your Sims get the best sleep the game makes possible based on bed tuning and never complain again about waking up uncomfortable because of their bed… all without you putting any of their skill or time into upgrading the beds and without spending your time using cheats on each bed. Every bed will be as good for your Sim as the best upgraded bed.
What the Six Files Cover
There are five files you can choose among – or use them all! The Zip file includes all five.
Standard Beds
- Covers: most single and double beds for Children and older. Not covered: Murphy beds, coffins, Toddler beds, Sleeping Pods, and camping beds/tents/sleeping bags—see the separate mods below. These are separate so you can easily remove those categories if you want to keep them as their defaults. Also not included: the jail-cell bed from EP01 Get to Work.
- General wake-up buffs (comfort, stress, and recovery from that extra juice last night) and energy gain are the same as a top-quality bed.
- Beds are fully upgraded for energy and comfort.
Toddler Beds
- Covers: all Toddler beds except the cot from Little Campers, which is covered by the Camping file
- Changes are as for Standard Beds.
Camping Beds
- Covers: tents, sleeping bags/bedrolls, the base game cot, the beds and cots from GP01 Outdoor Retreat (Glamping, Rustic Sleeper, and both Airkushns), the Toddler cot from the Little Campers Kit.
- Changes are as for Standard Beds.
- Outdoor-related tuning is not changed.
Coffins
- Covers: all GP04 Vampires coffins
- Changes are as for Standard Beds.
- Vampire tuning is not changed.
Murphy Beds
- Covers: all SP16 Tiny Living Murphy beds
- Changes are as for Standard Beds.
- Death by Murphy Bed is stopped by all upgrades being completed.
Sleeping Pods
- Covers: all sleeping pods
- Changes are as for Standard Beds.
What You’ll See and Won’t See in-Game
In Build/Buy mode
- Descriptions and statistics are not changed, and the items do not have CC wrenches. All effects of the mod(s) are visible only in Live mode.
- Content for packs you do not own will not be added by this mod, but no last exceptions should be produced.
In Live mode
- During sleep, the energy bar will show three arrows for increasing.
- Upgrading will show as completed.
- Other wake-up effects (for example, trait-related) will still happen.
- If you use the Murphy bed file, Murphy bed death will not happen.
- Mods/cheats for game time speed will affect Toddler energy gain because the game handles Toddler sleep differently.
- CC beds that refer to Maxis bed tuning files will also be affected by this mod (this is likely to be many CC beds).
In Gallery downloads
- Beds downloaded as part of builds you have uploaded to the Gallery will behave as they normally do unless the Simmer placing your build also has this mod.
- Maxis beds you download in builds from the Gallery will be affected by this mod.
