Description

One of the things that's lame about Sims 4 Plantsims is that they have nothing specifically for them. But Sims3 and Sims2 had just enough. I especially liked the Sims3 female outfit. So I've made an effort to convert all outfits for them. From Sims 3 and Sims 2.
I know. Other Simmers have already converted some things for them. But ... not everything. And If I'm going to convert most of a set I ought to convert all of it.
So. This was a real job. I've never done hair before. And the Sims 2's Plantsim hair required me to make individual leaves. And it still needed to be alpha CC on top of it because the shorter hair just isn't possible for me to sculpt with my nonexistent sculpting skills! But I managed it. The Sims 2 hair (and outfit) are a combination of alpha CC to get the parts that I can't sculpt and rather primitively made leaves placed and sized where they needed to be to get it right!
The texture maps for the sims 2 and 3 are different from the Sims 4. But not radically different. In the end the body is still facing you and the back is still whole. Getting that right first allowed me to make the right adjustments for the clothes (which is a must since the texture layers layer on top of each other). Word to the wise: Photoshop's smart objects can be replicated and warped. So making a bunch of smart objects and warping each one to fit the texture map you want is an effective way to make a ... decent conversion tool. Granted some adjustments need to be made for each texture layer, but it's a good way to start.
I tried to make recolors so the hair and outfits are compatible with each other. I also got as many default outfits from the Sims 3 as I thought practical. Ripping textures from that game (and Medieval) is a real pain. (I use Ninjaripper to get ones TSW can't.)
All the outfits are full body. Even the toddler's. I tried to make it just lower parts, but the shirt just kept clipping onto it. So no dice. The vines are chest tattoos. To use them on children and toddlers you have to use my mod. I've made all the vines compatible with all ages, but the adult vines are optimized for adults and toddlers for toddlers and children for children.
I'm not quite done with Plantsims. After all ... children and toddler Plantsims just aren't fun if they aren't really Plantsims.
