Description
- While working on the matching floor tiles I noticed an issue with the wall swatch. The mipmaps were missing causeing the walls to look wonkey when zooming in and out. So I corrected that issue. I also didn't really care for how glossy the tiles looked considdering the ones in the shower stall are matte. So I created a second version that is a semi gloss/semi matte. Completely matifying them didn't appeal to me despite the fact the shower's is matte. I like the slight shine that provides a distinction between the tiles and the paint. I used the actually shower's textures to create the wall and floor swatches. Despite that I can still see a slight variation in color which is so odd. It would be a painstaking process of logging in and out of the game to color match the swatchs perfectly. It is what I do when making pillows for my seperated matresses and the reason I take look breaks betweem making them. It gets tedious fast. In this situation it is a continuity issue on EA's end that causes the same color swatch to look different on different objects. I don't think it is worth the time and effort to match perfectly. It's close enough. If you downloaded this file prior to 4/11/2025 you should disgaurd it and redownload the fixed swatch. It now includes two versions of the wall swatch. you can choose to keep both or delete the one you don't want. Apologies for the inconvience. The matching floor swatches are now availabe also.
- I am working on dismantling another shower to create new items from it. The first thing I like to make is the matching tile swatches for for the original shower. It is a bit of a pet peeve that The tiles on the object don't match the tiles found in build/buy. Why? So I made the the wall swatches. That is what you will get in this download. I will be working on the matching floor next. So stay tuned.
