Historical posters/signs from the WWII-Cold War era focused on Nuclear Fallout/attacks. Fallout is the process of debris from a direct impact of a nuclear explosion. Said debris and materials are launched into the air and rain down extremely radioactive ash, known as Fallout. Exposure leads to radiation poisoning and leads to a painful death within minutes to weeks post-exposure.
During The Cold War, the rising fear of a Nuclear War was at an all-time high, thus many Fallout Shelters were made in major cities. These shelters are debated on how effective they would've been if such destruction occurred. Notably, it's a symbol of the growing paranoia since that time not so long ago...
