Description
The Chevrolet Impala SS 1965 is what happens when Chevrolet decides “subtle” is overrated. Big, bold, and powered by proper V8 muscle, it delivered serious performance wrapped in what is essentially a very stylish living room on wheels. There’s enough sheet metal here to build about three European cars - or five Japanese ones - and it’ll happily burn fuel at roughly the same rate too. Despite the excess, it was hugely popular, blending straight-line speed with comfort and unmistakable presence. If the American dream is a car, it is this Chevy… preferably sideways and with a V8 soundtrack.
I made the model from scratch for another game, a few years ago, where it got only very little attention, but I tought it might be a good addition to the Sims as decor for a vintage American house.
The car comes
- each has 10 different colours, that the car was sold in, in 1960s plus one authentic racing livery
- with the deco elements in the buy mode and costs 10000 credits.
- needs no Expansion Packs - basegame only
- can have some objects placed on its bonnet and roof
- can be looked at as a sculpture by the sims - I thought that would fit for a vintage car
Known issues:
- I wanted the sims to also be able to lay on the bonnet, as on a sun chair. I wasn't able to get that done.
