NoStructureOverlap 3.0.0
Prevents different structures from generating inside each other during world generation.
Uses vanilla StructureStart bounding boxes after piece layout (including jigsaw) and before blocks are placed. Same structure type may still overlap; pieces within one structure are never treated as conflicts.
Works with vanilla and modded structures that use the normal NeoForge / Minecraft structure pipeline.
Features
- Accurate bounding boxes — compares real
StructureStartboxes, not guessed sizes or center distances - Different IDs only — blocks overlaps between different structure registry ids (e.g. village vs mansion)
- 3D or 2D checks — full 3D AABB by default; optional X/Z-only mode so underground and surface structures can coexist when their boxes do not meet
- Clean cancel — returns an invalid start before the structure is stored or built
- Per-structure filters — whitelist, blacklist, and per-id enable/disable
- Modpack friendly — tested with large numbers of structure mods
How it works
- Vanilla picks a candidate chunk and runs structure generation
- Pieces are built and the structure’s bounding box is known
- If that box intersects another tracked start with a different registry id, placement is cancelled
- Blocks are only placed later for starts that remain valid
