This is a 1:1 scale map of one of the most difficult mountains to climb in Colorado.

Description

The map includes the 14ers Capitol Peak and Snowmass Mountain, along with the ridge connecting them. I also added the Capitol Creek and Capitol ditch trails!

I tried my best to duplicate the vibrant color in the sorrounding area. These mountains are close to the Maroon Bells, and some of the ridges are actually red. This is something I noticed when I climbed this mountain in real life, the landscape is beautiful!

I made this map using QGIS, Worldpainter, and USGS topographic map data. This is one i've been working on for a while in an effort to get it close to real life.

Unfortunately there are no creeks/streams at the moment. I want to add them in the future, I just need to figure out a way to get the water to flow correctly without messing up the topography too much. Normal Minecraft terrain also started generating outside of the map, and it doesn't look like theres much I can do about that.

Distant Horizons is definitely recommended, here's the download: Distant Horizons: A Level of Detail mod - Minecraft Mods - CurseForge

Thank you for checking out my map! Please feel free to leave feedback and let me know what you would like to see next.
