Hi there, I have noticed some bugs/inconsistences with Zombie Villagers (The hats messed up), Wandering Traders (Seem too be untextured) and potions (The empty bottle does not match with the potions). I hope these can be fixed in a future update.
how do you fix the "waterfall ores" problem, as I've dubbed it? in short, I've run the 1.16.5 version of this pack with and without optifine, but no matter what I do, the ores have this weird "waterfall" effect where a flashing animation slides down over the gems themselves. Is this supposed to happen?? if so, is there a config option I can change to make it Not happen? It's making me nauseous
Edit: realized this was an intentional flashing, I've edited the pack myself to exclude it. However, I've noticed a misalignment with the grindstone - any suggestions?
Check the last post of my previous comment if you want a solution to missing torches in repeaters and comparators, though it only works on the old torch model. Creator would need to fix this for the current torch model in order for stuff to work as intended.
Minor gripe in that I'm not a huge fan of the new redstone torch texture, though, that's not *really* an issue at all. What is an issue, though, is the fact that redstone repeaters and comparators don't work. Love the new command blocks, by the way. But redstone repeaters and comparators have the issue of not showing the torches. I have no idea why this happens, honestly. Seems like this comment on reddit knows, though.
replacing /assets/minecraft/textures/block/redstone_torch_off.png and /assets/minecraft/textures/block/redstone_torch.png with ones from another pack fixes the issue, but creates a whole other issue.
This looks fine, but now upright redstone torches are invisible.
I'll keep testing but I don't expect to actually find anything, I'm not a texture pack creator and I can't do pixel art nor do I truly understand the file structure for them
It would seem I killed 2 birds with 1 stone! To summarize my old problems: [] I'm not the biggest fan of how large the redstone torch texture is [] Repeaters and comparators do not work as intended.
Both of these are solved by replacing redstone_torch_off.png and redstone_torch.png with the 1.17 version, and deleting these 4 files from /assets/minecraft/models/block
With that, it's all working as it should! Unsure as to what causes this, and this only works with the old textures, so there's definitely still a fix needed from the pack's creator to get this working. As for me though, it works like a charm
Got my preferred textures and all redstone things work as they should, yipee! Hopefully this helps anyone else.
I love the pack, there was a few problems I had with the 1.17 version (texture errors and such) but all I had to do was use the 1.18.1 version on 1.17 and it works perfectly fine! I do wish that tools had different textures too though, but that's up to the creator to decide.
I absolutely love this; however, I do notice that there is a glitch with spruce buttons (the large surface of them seems to be warped into a weird parallelogram shape.
Issue I found with the 1.17 versions of the pack that for some reason also affects the 1.16 versions when opened in 1.17.1 (tried both the 1.16.4 and 1.16.5 versions as well as both 1.17 versions) -- interestingly though, it doesn't affect the 1.18 version loaded in 1.17.1 (though I'd imagine that could cause other problems that I haven't run into yet) -- certain symbols are mapped improperly so they show up wrong in game, the one that caught my eye was the "star outline" next to the "filled star" and "x marks the spot" in the "nonlatin_european.png" file -- comparing the 2 it looks like a few lines were added at the bottom of that file that mess it up in 1.17.1 -- simply replacing the "nonlatin_european.png" file from the 1.18 version of the pack into the 1.17 version if the pack seems to fix it though. Minor issue, but if anyone else has that minor problem just replacing assets>minecraft>textures>font>nonlatin_european.png from 1.17 with the one from the 1.18 pack fixes it
So, i noticed an issue with upside down corner stairs, where the point of attachment glitches along the bottom, it's breaking in a way that makes it look like a retextured normal upside stair that has been stretched to meet the other one, except with a bit of missing texture
also there are some missing directional textures, like some types of planks have a texture that changes based off the direction they were placed in, while others don't
Minor complaint I've got, and it's about readability of CMD blocks. Something that the original oCd and your remaster of it do amazing is the insane readability of redstone components. It's very clean, it's insanely fast to read, and nothing looks as if it's another block. The sole exception to this are the command blocks and their orientation. To showcase this, I've decided to grab a fairly popular resource pack (Vividity) and showcase its CMD blocks.
Notice a couple of things: The Conditional symbol is distinct from the Unconditional symbol (on the left is the conditional arrow, on the right is the unconditional). Also notice how the top and bottom of the CMD blocks are distinct, which is very important for the readability of the block and tells you at a glance what direction it's facing.
There is almost no difference between Unconditional and Conditional command blocks, if you don't notice it, the difference is the fact that the Conditional arrow doesn't have the bottom corners. The same issue exists with the top and bottom of the command block, there's virtually no difference. I don't think actually matters if the arrows are good and convey direction, so don't worry too hard about that one. I'd appreciate if you could fix it however, thanks!
Noticed that there's not an ice heart texture in the pack (the texture used when freezing in powdered snow), so I decided to do a simple color shift to make it. There's still quite a few blocks which don't have textures although I'm sure you already know about them. Also I noticed you responding to a comment about crying obsidian, just wanted to make sure you're doing the respawn anchor as well.
Thank you very much for your comments, I will post a new version within a week on patreon and if everything goes well, then next week or in a week the update will be released here

Thanks to you, I'm using it well

Of course, I change it according to the version, but I appreciate it.

Because this resource pack is open source, you can make a pull request to fix this!
I love using this in my vanilla world

is Disco oCd actually involved with this pack, or is this pack based off of his old private pack?
In reply to FallBackITA27:
this is based on his old pack, the OG file is no longer being updated.
when will the 1.17.1 version come out?
