Mob Variants 🐾
Mob Variants refreshes your Minecraft world with unique new looks for familiar creatures! From biome-specific changes to globally enhanced designs, every mob feels more alive, more varied, and more fun to encounter. Perfect for players who want a richer, more immersive survival experience—without straying from the vanilla vibe.
This pack is still in early beta and will see many changes and improvements. You can check out screenshots to get a glimpse of some of the variants!
Requires OptiFine or EMF + ETF ⚙️
To display mob variants correctly, you’ll need one of the following:
🔹 OptiFine — make sure these settings are enabled:
Video Settings > Quality > Random Entities: ON
Video Settings > Quality > Custom Entity Models (CEM): ON
🔹 EMF + ETF — an alternative to OptiFine for Sodium users.
Install Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) for full support.
⚠️ Without these, mob variants will not work as intended.
📌 Important: This resource pack must be placed above Fresh Animations in the resource packs list to function correctly.
