inspiration from '94 remastered on roblox and contraband police on steam
a lot of resource packs with guns are mainly base off world war 1, world war 2 , wild west, video games so i make one based around first chechen war (1994-1996). i also take inspiration from contraband police. i can't code so i make resource pack. Due to limitations i only recreated soldier equipment without any vehicles (BTR-80/70, T62/72 itp), there are a lot of partisan tools like gas pipe, civilian shovels, pitchforks itp, it also adds military tools and weapons that a lot of people forget for some damn reason - 6h3 bayonet, 6h4 bayonet, 6h5 bayonet, MPL-50, ZiK axe, even NR-43 or taiga-1 machete, aight i'm too lazy to actually descript the pack, look in the gallery, and about the war below
you can run the damn thing without any mods. wrote the history of the 1st chechen war below from around 85 percent from memory.
in 1991 after declaring chechen independence by dzhokhar dudayev russia cut off all money income to chechnya, the country was bankrupting, people were selling damn guns on stalls in bazars because having a weapon was considered a human right and because there were no laws, stores didn't function properly, militia was corrupted, if someone annoyed their neighbour, there was no calling the militia - they didn't exist or they were either corrupted, they would take their AKMS and handle things with you on their own. dudayev would spent nearly all country income on military and he didn't give a damn about actually managing the country. in 1992 Pavel grachev (defence minister of russia at that time) gave the order for russians to evacuate from the country leaving above half od their equipment. 42 thousand AK'S were left, 108 T72's / T62's , BTR's and BMP's , 150 - 200 thousand hand grenades and more.dudayev would try to work out independence with economical relations with russian federation, he even begged for a private meeting with boris yeltsin (president of russia at that time) to talk things out but it didn't happen. yeltsin was close to actually agreeing to dudayevs propositions but Pavel Grachev kept convinving him that dudayev is just a bandit, that they should invade chechnya for a quick military success, and yeltsin believed him. on 26th november, 1994 the chechen anti dudayev opisition (helped in secret by russians) did an assault on grozny (there was a civil war in chechnya shortly after declaring independence), dudayev's military succesfully defended the city, they caight a group of russian soldiers. russia said they don't know them but dudayev's showed them their documents, which finally forced russia to attack on 11th december that year. on 6th december 1994 grachev and dudayev met, they treated themselves like old friends (dudayev was earlier a air force general in soviet union), grachev said that no war would happen and things would be sorted out. but russian tanks were already waiting at the chechen borders
The actual war
russians entered chechnya on 11 december, 1994. they captured znamenskoje (znamenskoje gave up without fight), goity before they surrounded grozny from west, north and south. first federal troops arrived to grozny around 17-18 december and the first shootings in grozny started on 22 december. the main assault began on 31 december where chechens attacked BMP-2's, BTR-80's and T72's from rocket launchers from rooftops, russians had to bomb whole city. when bombing a lot of war crimes were commited killing thousands of civilians. russians suffered terrible losses and casualties but around february 1995 they succeeded to take over the city. soon after they began taking over argun, gudermes and samashki. they also tried to take over a village called ''bamut'' but the village successfully defended for over 1 and half a year. after taking over these cities the war turned into guerrilla warfare in mountains. in june, 1995 about 150-200 chechen fighters with the orders of shamil basayev made a hostage crisis in a hospital in budyonnovsk taking around 1500-2000 hostages. around 180 russians were killed. this caused a temporaly ceasefire. on the night of 21-22 april, 1996 dzhokchar dudayev was assasinated with a rocket by using a satelite phone. in 1996 the operation "Jihad" started. about 1500 chechen fighters gathered up and started taking over argun, gudermes and grozny which turined into 5000-7000 chechen fighters during the fights which forced russia to retreat troops from the country and give chechnya de facto independence. the state of republic was said to be postponed for 5 years
