Classic C418 Survival Mix

Classic C418 Survival Mix brings the nostalgic Minecraft music feeling back into survival gameplay.

Optional companion mod: Classic C418 Music Tweaker

This resource pack remaps Minecraft's music events so survival, overworld biomes, caves, underwater areas, menus, and Nether biomes can play a more classic C418-focused soundtrack. The goal is simple: keep the feeling of modern Minecraft, but make the music feel closer to the older, calmer, more nostalgic Minecraft experience.

What This Pack Does

• Adds classic C418 creative-mode tracks into survival gameplay.
• Replaces many modern overworld biome music pools with classic C418 music.
• Keeps Nether music focused on C418's original Nether tracks.
• Keeps menu music closer to the older Minecraft atmosphere.
• Works as a lightweight resource pack with no mods required.
• Does not change textures, gameplay, blocks, items, mobs, or mechanics.

Optional Companion Mod

This resource pack changes which music can play.

Minecraft itself still controls when music starts, so there can still be long silence gaps between songs. For a more active music experience, install the companion Forge mod:

Classic C418 Music Tweaker

The companion mod can reduce the silence between music tracks and show an optional local "Now playing" message in chat.

Important Copyright Note

This pack does not include, upload, or redistribute any Minecraft music files.

It only changes Minecraft's sounds.json to point music events to C418 tracks that already exist inside the vanilla Minecraft client. Because of that, the pack is very small and only works by using music already provided by the player's own installed game.

Installation

1. Download the correct version of the resource pack.
2. Put the .zip file into your Minecraft resourcepacks folder. (or just download through CurseForge)
3. Open Minecraft.
4. Go to Options > Resource Packs.
5. Enable Classic C418 Survival Mix.
6. Reload resources and enjoy.

Compatibility

This is a client-side resource pack. It should work in singleplayer, multiplayer, and modpacks as long as the Minecraft version matches the file you downloaded.

No Forge, Fabric, Quilt, or other mod loader is required.
