Description

π About
πΈ Ambient Sounds is a resource pack dedicated to filling Minecraft's silence — adding layered ambient audio that makes the world feel alive without relying on any mods.
π¨ This is an unofficial fork of CreativeMD's AmbientSounds 6 mod, converted into a fully standalone, customizable sound resource pack.
π How is this different from Dynamic Surroundings Sound Pack?
This pack aims for a softer, more subtle experience. Sounds are less frequent and less intrusive — the goal is to make the world feel naturally alive rather than constantly filling your ears with audio.
At first, the difference can be hard to notice. But as you explore, you'll find the sounds blend into the environment more organically, complementing your experience rather than competing for your attention.
β Features
- Biome-dependent ambient sounds — Jungle, Forest, Ocean, Beach, Desert, Deep Dark, Caves & Cliffs, and more
- Unique ambient sounds for mobs, tied to their natural spawn environments
- Realistic weather audio — rain, thunder, storms, wind, and more
- An overall richer, more immersive soundscape
- Roughly 50% of the original mod's full feature set, faithfully recreated

π Notes
- Avoid spawning large numbers of mobs nearby — overlapping mob sounds can get overwhelming fast
- Best experienced with headphones π§
- This pack works by replacing Minecraft's default sounds through the resource pack system — it does not use any mod logic
- Designed for players who enjoy a more immersive, relaxed audio experience — not ideal if you prefer a quieter or faster-paced game
- Made for those who love natural soundscapes and want to slow down and take in the world πΏ

β FAQ
Why do I hear weird layering or overlapping sounds? Because this is a resource pack rather than a mod, there are some technical limitations to how sounds are triggered and layered. This may not suit every player — if it bothers you, try the command below.
Does it work exactly like the original mod? Not fully — this is a sound resource pack, so there are limitations compared to the real mod. I've done my best to replicate the experience.
Can I re-upload this project? No. Please do not repost this pack on any other platform or website.
How do I customize this pack? Open sounds.json and navigate to sounds → "AmbientSounds". That folder contains everything you can modify. I recommend Audacity for any audio editing.
I can't hear any sounds. Make sure this pack is at the top of your resource pack list and check your in-game volume settings.
The pack isn't working for me. It may be conflicting with another sound mod. Check for conflicts in your mod or resource pack list.
Can I use this in a modpack or on a server? Yes! Please credit both me and the original mod authors.
Does it work on Fabric, Forge, or other clients? Yes — since this is a resource pack, it works with any Minecraft client.
There are too many overlapping sounds. Run this command to stop all sounds immediately: /stopsounds @a
