After quite some time I'm finally happy to announce that the second rewriting stage is completed! Here's a list of changed/new features:
1) Nether smoke is now a procedurally generated 3D noise instead of a nebula
2) Volumetric fog is now split into two different options: volumetric light and volumetric fog
3) Volumetric clouds got completely rewritten and most likely will be changed again soon
4) Removed dynamic and held item based colored lighting
5) Removed some useless config options
6) Overworld nebula now looks different. It appears in a form of large stretched feather-shaped lines
7) The general look and coloring almost completely changed since the first rewriting stage
8) Planar clouds are now blocky and way less performance hungry
9) Sky lighting has gotten a little improvement and a few tweaks
10) Disabled all per-biome effects by default except for per-biome exponential fog
11) Added fog blur option
12) Changed volumetric fog noise sampler from procedurally generated to noise texture based
13) Water now looks like water (quote: bedrock rtx promo video). Added water absorption, ty emin
14) Added integrated emissive textures, ty emin again
15) A whole ton of modified settings, fixes and improvements
