Description
CozyCore is a lightweight farming and home design modpack for anyone who wants just a little more from vanilla Minecraft. I like to think of it as Minecraft with a little icing and sprinkles on top.
The backbone of the pack is designed around the Let's Do series of mods which add some wonderfully delightful mechanics like baking, winemaking, tea brewing and fine dining to name a few. It also includes new backpacks and furniture to decorate your homes with. These mods add new crops too like Tomatoes, Strawberries, Coffee, Tea Leaves, Corn and others as well as adding wild variants of the vanilla crops for easier access. There are also new animals to see and tame with Blooming Nature and Wilder Nature.
To add a little fleshing out for vanilla Minecraft we have Quark, Supplementaries and Amendments which each improve on the vanilla content without making drastic changes to it.
For recipe lookup I've included Roughly Enough Items, which if you're new to modded Minecraft is a handy tool to show recipes for all those tasty foods and baked treats you'll be making.
The world also received a facelift with Lithosphere controlling the world generation, giving a greater sense of scale with its mountain ranges and vast oceans, and Regions Unexplored adding in new biomes with pretty new trees and plants to see.
And to make the experience just a little bit cozier and less hectic I've included two mods that change the game to make it more relaxing. Time Control allows to set the length of days and nights, which I've set to be 50 minutes of day and 10 minutes of night, to allow for a slower and less rushed pace. And Peaceful Surface alters mob spawning so that mobs will only spawn in complete darkness so now you can go strolling in the moonlight without worry, but don't worry about losing mob drops as they'll still spawn plenty in caves and in mob farms.
All together I feel like this modpack would be a great fit if you wanted to start an RP group or you just want a more cozy experience to get lost in.
For anyone wanting to add the physics mod to the pack a config is included for it but the mod is not included by default.
This modpack runs best with at least 4GB of RAM allocated (the default setting on the Curseforge launcher) and a "shaders capable" graphics card. If performance is poor, shaders can be disabled in the Video Settings menu. I recommend sticking to the included shaderpack as it supports the features of several other mods in the pack.
