Description

The Where We Start Modpack

This is a very light modpack. That means it includes nearly none changes to gameplay, only all kinds of optimization and some little tweaks and information tools.  Of course, that may not be enough to play with, but it surely is Where We Start to put further stuff on.

First supports Forge 1.20.1, as this is the main modding version I use. Depending on the situation of mods included, maybe there will be support for further main modding versions. You can directly use this modpack for your project without any permission, but it will be nice if you can mention it.

Mod Selection Principles

  • Least Gameplay Affect: Mods that provide playable stuff like a new block or something are not included. Tweaks related to gameplay neither. This is to leave enough space for further building, because each modpack maker has different ideas on tweaking. Notice that due to optimization, some vanilla features like TNT duplicating may no longer work. But are those really a part of gameplay?
  • High Compability: Mods included usually don't conflict with popular mods. However, this modpack is not expected to directly work with vanilla servers.
  • Basic Information and Tools: JEI and its addons, Jade, Apple Skin, Sparkle, Memory Usage and so on. These tools make sure that you can easily get ingame information and do debugging.
  • Avoid Over Decoration: This pack didn't add too many visual improvements. This is for compability and performance, and also because everyone has different appreciation.

  • Mods: See the entire modlist on Github. 
  • Configuration: 
    • Default Options.
    • Raised bars to make sure the experience bar shows in the correct position on riding a horse.
    • Changed Advancement Plaques, only let them show on goals and challenges.
    • Render distance is changed to 8 chunks for performance. FPS and RAM data are showed.
    • Shows amplifier bar on Distinguished potions.
    • Optimization related tweaks and more.
  • Keybinds and Utils: 
    • Press Ctrl when scrolling to speed up.
    • With advanced tooltips open, press Shift to view the NBT of an item.
    • Press - to hide or show selection bounds around blocks.
    • Press , to enable or disable fast block placing.
    • Keybinds related to config (such as Modern UI) or shaderpacks are set empty.
    • Right click on cycle buttons (such as the difficulty button) to go back.
    • Press U to see the memory usage bar.
    • Press C to zoom in. Modern UI and Chloride both have this, only one is kept.
    • In creavite mode, click the button above to see all creative tabs. This is useful when your creative list gets long.
    • Other vanilla keybinds remain default. All these options are saved to config/defaultoptions, so you can just press reset without worry.
    • Mod resource packs are set to be above vanillla resources in default options.
    • Put resource packs or data packs under paths in global_packs to force them to load.
    • Chatplus allows you to customize the chatting GUI.
    • Click an advancement to see where it comes from.
    • Quitting from a world or the whole game now has confirmation.
    • Effect duration time is now displayed through a colored bar.
    • Includes backup, chunky, observable, spark.
    • And more.
  • Resource Packs: Includes language support for zh_cn.

《启行》整合包

这是一个极其轻量的模组包,几乎不修改游戏玩法,只包含各类优化、一些基础调整和信息工具。这当然不够玩,但确实是制作更复杂内容的基础。

优先支持Forge 1.20.1,因为这是我主要使用的模组版本。根据所含模组的情况,未来可能会支持新的模组主流版本。可以直接在你的项目中使用本整合包,无需许可,不过如果能提一嘴也很好。

汉文名来自《诗经·大雅·公刘》的「爰方启行」。

模组选择原则

  • 对玩法低影响:凡是提供可玩内容如新方块等的模组一概不收,和玩法有关的小调整也不收。这是为了给后续添加模组留空间,毕竟每个整合包作者在微调上的想法都不同。由于优化,一些原版特性如TNT复制可能会失效。但这些真的算玩法吗?
  • 高兼容性:包内模组通常不和主流模组发生冲突。不过本整合包并不适配纯原版服务器。
  • 基础信息和工具:JEI及其附属,玉、苹果皮、火花、内存占用条等等。这些工具可以方便地调试和获取游戏内信息。
  • 避免过多装饰:本包不含太多视觉改进。一方面是为了兼容性和性能,也考虑到大家的审美各不相同。

内容

  • 模组:完整模组列表参见Github。
  • 配置:
    • 默认选项。
    • 抬升了马背上的经验条以保证正确的位置。
    • 修改了进度牌匾,只让它在目标和挑战上出现。
    • 渲染距离改为8以提升性能。屏幕上显示详细FPS和RAM信息以便调试。
    • 在药水上显示强度标记。
    • 优化相关配置及其他。
  • 键位和工具:
    • 在菜单中滚动时按下Ctrl以加速。
    • 打开高级提示信息时,用Shift可查看物品的NBT。
    • 按-隐藏或显示方块上的选中边框。
    • 按,开启或关闭快速方块放置。
    • 配置和光影相关的键位(如ModernUI)改为空。
    • 右击循环按钮(如难度按钮)可以倒回上一个选项。
    • 按U查看内存占用条。
    • 按C缩放四倍。ModernUI和Chloride都有此功能,只开启了一个。
    • 创造模式下,点击背包上方的按钮查看所有的标签页。列表很长时非常方便。
    • 其他原版键位保持不变。所有键位保存至config/defaultoptions,所以可以放心重置。
    • 默认选项中将模组资源包放在原版资源上方。
    • 将资源包或数据包放到global_packs中相应目录以强制加载。
    • Chatplus可以深度修改聊天界面。
    • 在聊天栏点击一个进度查看其来源。
    • 退出世界或游戏时有确认。
    • 效果持续时间有进度条。
    • 包含备份、区块预生成、性能观测、火花。
    • 还有更多。
  • 资源包:包含zh_cn(简体中文)语言支持。
