Description

A survival mod made for Fabric 1.20.1 (Forge port is underway!)
check for and download latest versions of the modpack
This mod adds a whole bunch of gameplay altering mods, that you wouldnt think would normally work together due to compatibility issues.
There are a few mods you cannot update as it will break the modpack and will crash when you launch. These are in a list below.
This modpacks main focus was horror, but with the limited variety of horror themed mods available for this version, theres not much. Whatever I can find, I add, this pack will be updated regularly.
Iris IS installed, just not visible in the mod list on curseforge because the version this modpack uses for Iris isnt on curseforge.
Straying from the horror theme, Survival play is just as interesting. There are a few generation-altering mods for bigger worlds, and many mods for bigger and better structures, like BetterNether and BetterEnd. Unfortunately, Distant Horizons is NOT compatible with this modpack. I have tried every possible way of trying to get Distant Horizons to work, and to no avail. If you can get it running, congrats. i gave up.
Not only are the Nether and End revamped, but the overworld too.
There are now many naturally generated structures and dungeons for you to explore and loot, and Waystones to help you find your way back, with many new kinds of mob variants to fight off.
One of the bigger mob revamps is Undead Nights, with Zombie Awareness playing a huge part aswell.
Hordes will spawn throughout the night, with faster and smarter zombies. Unlike regular zombies, the horde zombies have 20 hearts, and their speed is double of the regular zombie.
To put the icing on the cake, dying to a zombie (even with KeepInventory on), you will become zombified. You will respawn regularly at your spawn point, but now there is a zombified version of you roaming the world. Once killed, it will drop EVERYTHING you had. This zombie is also named, so it will not despawn.
These horde zombies dont just act like regular zombies either. Some of them have equipped themselves with different tools, like Armor, weopons, fishing rods, and even TNT.
There are alot of other mods that can make your gameplay better aswell, as well as more interesting and time consuming to play, like Ad Astra, a mod that lets you explore different planets in the solar system and build space stations!
Saddles and Horse Armor are now craftable, along with all enchantment books, along with Immersive Enchants, allowing you to put enchants on items that couldnt usually have that enchantment. You can smelt rotten flesh into leather, and the original golden apple recipe is back, along with the enchanted golden apple recipe. Your head will drop when you die, and can be collected, worn, and placed.
Vivecraft is INSTALLED and WORKS!! (Virtual Reality)
If you dont feel like using the Waystones, you can craft the Tempad inspired from the Loki series on Disney+, that lets you save up to three locations across dimensions with an infinite range and teleport to them seamlessly, or you can take your dimensional travel up a notch with the TARDIS, which you have to find underground and craft the nessecary materials to make it function. Once operationable, you can save an infinite amount of coordinates to warp back to, if you know how to pilot the TARDIS.
If you wanna make things quick and simple with transportation between locations, the Immersive Portals mod will make it quick and simple to travel between locations seemlessly, and confusingly. It also replaces the normal purple nether portal and end portal with immersive portals, allowing you to slip between without a loading screen. There are three additional mods to immersive portals in this modpack.
- Pehkui
A mod that allows the player to change their size using commands, including all entities in the world. The entity base command is "/scale set pehkui:base @e<scale>" A simpler way of doing this is by making an immersive portal, then making the second portal smaller than the first. - The Portal Gun from Portal, which lets you place 2 portals, orange and blue, with immersive portals.
- Gravity Changer The real mind bender. This mod gives you a set of arrows (not bow arrows) to use that change your direction of gravity, allowing you to play sideways or completely upside down. This mod also adds the ability to let immersive portals change your gravity aswell, meaning placing a vertical portal and a horizontal portal will change your gravity when walking through one of them.
- Miniscaled This mod adds Tiny Blocks. Using pehkui-like behavior, it allows you to place a frame that changes the size of that tile. Stand ontop and sneak, and you will shrink to the size of an ant. You can build anything like this, and yes, you can use an Immersive Portal as an entrance aswell. The frame has to be removed using commands.
The Immersive Portals take up some performance, which is what the Custom Portals mod is for. it lets you creatr "Wormhole" portals out of any material and give it a portal of any color, once two frames are built of the same material and lit with the same color portal, they will connect. Range can be configured.
It also works with the TARDIS, giving the real effect.
If you find travelling at night is too dangerous, or you want to explore a dungeon with little worry, you can morph into any mob you have killed. Each morph has corrosponding properties and abilities, making this modpack all that much more fun. As a creeper, you can explode an infinite amount of times, and explode your surroundings. As an enderman, you can teleport wherever you are looking instantly. While morphed, entities will behave as if you are what you are morphed as, you can blend right in! But be careful, the AI is spotty and sometimes they will take you out on surprise, or just attack you straight up. Modded mobs are also compatible with this, so killing dwellers might actually be worth something. Sometimes, the Morph Menu will bug out and will hide all of your unlocked morphs. To fix this, kill an entity you havent before and unlock a new morph. The default ability bind is set to R, which is bound to alot of other things. I recommend changing this keybind.
Not all mobs abilities are useable, such as modded entities.
Creaturechat is installed, an AI system that lets you talk to mobs and befriend them. I myself do not entirely understand how this system works, nor do i know how to disable it.
The Lootr mod is installed aswell, every generated chest is unique to every player, meaning that when playing with friends, a chest's contents are different for every player. This makes exploring dungeons with your freinds alot more worth it, especially with the Better Loot mod to enhance the loot tables.
There are alot of other fun mods for you to find in this modpack.
The Tempad does NOT work with shaders, to see the portal you must turn off shaders (default bind is k). I cannot fix this until someone releases a "Tempad with Shaders" mod port for Fabric loaders.
This part is important, please read
Iris is already installed, it is not appearing in the mod list as the version it is on is NOT on CurseForge.
(Forgot to mention, Singleplayer Play is broken. You can still play, but i recommend to play via hosting world with Essentials or by letting your game crash and reopening, opening the newly created world again and using LAN World Plug-n-play. To summarize, creating a new world will crash minecraft, reopening and joining that new world will make it generate and open as normal. Already existing worlds have a chance of crashing when joining. For some reason, this doesnt effect joining servers, LAN Worlds or worlds hosted via Aternos or Essential Mod.)
Do not update the mods on this list, or the modpack will crash.
