Description

“Survival means maintaining your autonomy in a world overrun by flesh.”
VISCERATE is a survival-tech modpack for Forge 1.20.1, featuring over 200 hand-picked mods designed for an immersive, conflict-free experience. Through your failures, improvisations, and relentless forward motion, you will carve the EXBODY's path. You awaken in The Expanse, disoriented and devoid of memory, with an unsettling awareness that you are… different. You feel a strange resonance with the grotesque landscape, a faint echo of something unnatural within yourself.

The environment itself is antagonistic. The Flesh That Hates corrupts biomes with a spreading, hostile presence. Meanwhile, mods like Bleak and Barren, Biomes O' Plenty, Tectonic, and a fully-modified Lost Cities create VISCERATE's setting - The Expanse.
The early game is stripped down and restructured. No wood tools — you’ll begin with flint, then scavenge clay to unlock the most basic stone-age progress. With Legendary Survival Overhaul, you’ll face injuries, thirst, and brutal temperature swings that punish the unprepared. Healing, inventory management, and even the armor you wear become central mechanics — not afterthoughts.

Combat is quick, grounded, and consequential. Mods like Better Combat, Point Blank, and Zombie Awareness demand spatial awareness, smart weapon use, and tactical movement. Combat isn’t just part of the pack — it’s the world’s language.
When you finally earn it, technology becomes your shield. Create and Mekanism provide automation and scale — but reaching them requires immense effort and caution. Machines are loud. Lights are visible. Every upgrade is a risk you choose to take. Logistics mods like Sophisticated Backpacks and CraftTweaker-modified bottlenecks reward smart mobility and resource planning.

Finally, the atmosphere presses in. With Ambient Sounds, Sound Physics Remastered, Enhanced Visuals, Presence Footsteps, and Camera Overhaul, you’re pulled fully into a world that feels unwelcoming at every sensory level.
There’s no stable civilization here. Just noise, motion, flesh — and you.
