You can find abandoned power armor frames and build many settlements and you can even [in case of total atomic annihilation] build state of the art underground fallout shelters or vaults if you will. With the help of the Ad Astra mod you can even go to space and build bases on different exoplanets and even build state of the art space stations in orbit around Earth [the overworld] and the Moon
And if you want to get extra wibbly-wobbly timey-whimy with your adventures just find a TARDIS root plant from TARDIS Refined and place it on a magma block and behold the wonders of time lord dimensional engineering
