This is my take on a vanilla+ modpack, including a well-rounded selection of life-improving mods and features from modern Minecraft versions.
If you are like me, you've been playing modded Minecraft long enough that vanilla feels like it's missing something; there's just too many quality-of-life features that you miss. So this is my attempt to bring all of the convenience of modded Minecraft into an experience that still heavily resembles the vanilla game. You won't have access to ore doubling, power systems, new weapon trees, etc., but you'll be happy to find that the leaves still decay quickly and the saturation bar is still visible.
The mod Future Versions brings features of vanilla 1.13 through 1.16 back to 1.12.2, which allows for the freshest and most modern Minecraft experience. (Also, Ido adds the new swimming and crawling mechanics.)
There are a few mods that expand on features of vanilla to bring them up to the standards of modded (Ceramics expands earlygame progression, Serene Seasons makes the world prettier and adds some depth to farming, Antique Atlas brings a vanilla-friendly version of minimapping, etc.).
The mods Quark and Charm add many small individual features to expand on the game as a whole.
Finally, there are many, many mods that add small quality-of-life improvements to make your experience as smooth as possible.
(I would appreciate suggestions for any mods that would improve the experience of this pack! The pack is in beta, so there's plenty of room to add and tweak mods.)
