2.0 is here! Guards spawn with guns! So do lots of other mobs! Guns are harder to come by(but better guns can be found in dungeons and other hostile structures!)!!!
Basically, added ice and fire, previously added spells and stuff so options are really opening up. Loot should be more balanced, encouraging exploration and keeping the hoarding to a minimum.
