◈ FROM THE AUTHOR

I got tired of horror packs where the scariest thing is the frame rate. Every other pack ships a dozen half-configured shaders that make everything look like a melted crayon, dweller mobs that are just big heads with red eyes and zero actual behaviour, and jump scares so frequent they stop meaning anything after day two.

UNSEENED is built around the opposite principle: the silence is the horror. Mobs are rare. When something appears it matters. The world breathes. The world is dark. The world was watching you before you loaded in.

The shader is Photon, configured from scratch. Not a preset. Not a YouTube recommendation. Dark undergrowth, fog that means something. One shader. Configured properly. You launch the pack, it looks right.

Performance is taken seriously. 1.19.2 is not a fast version of Minecraft. This pack runs it as fast as it can be run. If your PC is struggling the shader is the first thing to try disabling. Everything else is already optimised.

◈ THE WORLD

Built on YUNG's Better series, William Wythers' Overhauled Overworld, Cave Overhaul, The Graveyard and its biomes, Bygone Fortress, and Explorify. A world that was never inhabited in the way worlds are supposed to be. Villages that feel wrong. Fortresses built for unclear purposes. Graveyard biomes that didn't form because people died there — they formed because something else gathered there.

Better Combat rewrites attack animations and hitboxes. Axes Are Weapons makes axes feel like axes. YDM Weapon Master shows your loadout on your character. Go Prone for ground-level cover. Throwable Explosives for distance.  Fragile Torches — they break. Place them like they matter, because they do.

Dynamic Lights means a torch in hand lights your way. It also marks your position to anything nearby that is already watching.

🩸 HEALTH

AppleSkin for real hunger feedback. Gravestone keeps your inventory on your body. Better Respawn controls where you return. Dying here is not a loading screen. It is a setback with coordinates.

 

🌙 SLEEP

Sleep Sooner, Sleep in Darkness, More Sleeps. The night is not a mechanic to skip. It is the period when the UNSEENED density is highest and the gaps are smallest.

 

🗺 NAVIGATION

Xaero's Minimap for waypoints. Explorer's Compass for structure location. Ping Wheel for multiplayer. Know where you are. Know where you've been. Know what you heard over there.

1.19.2 is not Minecraft's fastest version. Every optimisation mod that works was included. Embeddium + Oculus replace the renderer. FerriteCore cuts memory usage. ModernFix patches startup and runtime. Canary, Starlight, EntityCulling, ImmediatelyFast, BadOptimizations, MemoryLeakFix, SmoothBoot, Dynamic FPS, Chunk Sending, LazyDFU. Spark included for self-diagnosis. Every mod earns its place.
