Undead Roamers

Undead Roamers is a Zombie Survival ModPack that focus on exploration and taking advantage of various tools at your disposal that will help you fight off Hordes of zombies, bands of Pillagers and other foes trying to make your life a living Hell in a hostile environment.

With a Quest Book full of tasks and rewards you will have all the tools you need to focus on exploring the world while keeping all the loot you collect safely stored with you. Also accessible through your Quest Book is a very handy Shop you can browse through at anytime.

Fear not as due to incredibly advanced technology you will be able to carry your whole base in your backpack!

Custom UI that covers 90% of the game's menus (all art created by me). Included is the "Default Dark Mode" resource pack that goes pretty well with it.

You'll spawn in the world with a few helpful items to get you started:

• Basic armor and a shield 0n your off hand
• Your Quest Book
• Basict tools for harvesting
• A 1x1x1 capsule (more info in the Quest Book)
• A 9mm pistol + ammo
• A basic sword
• A few torches
• Some food

Most humanoid creatures (zombies, villagers, drowners, pillagers...) have a chance to drop 9mm ammo and/or 12ga shells on death. You can get a pretty handy Double Barrel Sawn-off from a quest you can complete early on. The same creatures have also a smaller chance to drop Gunpowder (ammo crafting). Ender Pearls, Emeralds and Raw Iron (this item becomes very useful after completing the task "Boarding up the Place").

With all of this you can start firing your early weapons without worrying too much about saving ammo.

Pillagers, contrary to the vannila game, are now a constant threat as they can appear anywhere. They are armed with different types of firearm so be prepared for a fight if you happen to encounter a group of them. They fight off Zombies too.

The Quest Book:

• Your Quest Book will provide you with a plethora of Quets and Tasks that will reward you with many useful items during your jorney. Some tasks are repeatable so you can claim the rewards multiple times. Some quests can take a long time to complete depending on your luck and how actively you chose to pursue them.
• Inside the book is also a Shop (image on the right) where you can buy a variety of helpfull items. The main currency is Emeralds. In case you're short on currency there's also a selection of items you can exchange for Emeralds. The shop also sells ammo for your weapons but it's expensive so crafting is still a most viable option. Think of it as a "last resort".

*your quest book is also accessible through the small icon on the top-left corner of the inventory screen. Don't worry about losing it.

The Capsule system:

• Capsule offers you the function to craft various different sized capsules that can capture an area (cubic shape) and allow you to bring all the blocks (functional or not) inside that area with you. There's no limit to how many capsules you can craft so you can theoretically bring a gigantic base with you to redeploy mostly anywhere. Just think about flattening out the terrain a bit.

Turrets:

• There are 6 diffent types of Turrets you can craft to help defend your personal space.
• Each turret has a drone variant that will keep following you. (one of those little buggers at your side will cut your worries in half)
• They need ammo in their inventories to work. Turret functionality accessible through crouch-R.click.

*turrets are not captured by capsules yet they are pretty easy to disassemble and bring back with you.

Enhanced Movement:

The amazing Parcool mod allows you to have a variety of moves to enhance your traversal needs by only using a few extra buttons that are also able to be mapped along the same regular function buttons without conflict:

• Grab Ledges
• Climb those annoyng fences
• Automatically vault blocks
• Long leaps
• Avoid a percentage of fall damage
• Extra sprint speed
• etc..
• (All keys are remappable so take a minute to see what works best for you)

Death Penalty:

• XP levels will play a major role in quest progression rewards and is semi-connected to the Quest Book Shop so the mod Configurable KeepInventory will let you keep your inventory after death but you still lose your XP. You'll avoid the frustration of having to run back to the enemy nest everytime you die while still having the challenge of avoiding loosing all your XP. to balance things out we will be using the mod XP tome wich also has its own associated quest.
• If you chose to adopt the traveller playstyle it's only normal you won't always have a bed spawn point. That's where the mod Better Respawn comes in.

*Configurable Keepinventory and Better Respawn are safe to uninstal independently if you want to keep the player spawn system vanilla.

Some transportation method(s):

Many more features are implemented and configured for you to find out about them so i won't hold your hand much more.

Inspiration to create this modpack came naturally from playing the amazing "Cursed Walking" from OnMod so thanks for the amazing hours you sucked out of my life. You're a legend!

The Modpack was created on a Single Player environment but feel free to add anything on top of it needed to create a server.

I would say 40% of the included mods and/or resource packs are configured to work with each other so i woul strongly advise against removing any of them. For example, some of the quest rewards belong to one or another particular mod and on another instance the 3rd person camera is configured between 3 different mods to work seamlessly, among many others. Again, you risk bricking your modpack so be considerate.

I've spent many hours reading, configuring and testing everything i could to ensure everything was balanced and well set-up. In reality yours truly is just a noob so i appreciate your feedback to continue ironing out the pack when necessary.
