AUTHORS NOTE: This creation of mine is in beta for a reason, I am the only person working on the project so things tend to take me time and updates will be weekly at best since im not a professional, just a player with a passion. This version of the pack intended to be an expert edition progression modpack and therefor can be quite challenging to beginners due to the vast majority of recipes and mechanics having been changed from vanilla ones, if you need assistance feel free to ask around but remeber to follow your JEI and if you think something is missing or find that a mechanic has been canged to be more difficult it is likely by design. Right now there are only 100+ Quests but i have plans to finish the quest book for an even more progressive feel but that is proving to take some time, for now there is general information about what has changed in the pack below and anyone interested in helping should join the discord ^~^. The regular version of the4 pack is here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/trinkets-hardcore-revival Conscider Supporting my work by buying me a coffee.

THE GENERAL GIST:

Hardcore Revival Engineers Edition is a gritty industrial tech expansion for my traditional hardcore high fantasy adventure modpack of the same name and is intended to deliver more of a bite than your average pack while staying within the reach of the everyday modpack player. I built the pack from the ground up to add an additional edge to the traditional Minecraft gameplay with new immersive and challenging mechanics that feel rewarding to overcome instead of deliberately cruel and accent the games rpg and exploration themes, this pack includes custom scripting and 100s of custom crafting recipes that change the pack starting with a full revamp of your typical day one. The pack is heavily inspired by modpacks like RLcraft, and is designed with long term team based multiplayer progression in mind.

SOME OF THE MAIN FEATURES OF THE PACK INCLUDE:

-100s of custom crafting recipes and quests that combine mechanics from mods like Create, Tinkers construct, Immersive Engineering, and Thermal  to create a progressive retro industrial feel.  (5x5, 7x7 and immersive custom crafting mechanics!!)

-A full rewrite of day one, say goodbye to punching trees and crafting non-tinker tools; flint is your friend. Custom recipes have been added to the Campfire to make it a bit more useful and allow you to process clay and grout to make a furnace and smeltery!

-Fantasy and RPG themes stuff the pack is full of countless deadly creatures to slay and tame, including fan favorites like Lycanites Mobs, Ice and Fire, and Mowzies Mobs for encounters to keep even the most seasoned adventurers on their toes. Botania and Astral sorcery add the basis for some powerful magic study and there are more than a few new dimensions to explore.

-This modpack uses a combination of fundamentally game changing mods that enhance the traditional Minecraft game play by adding thirst and heat, diet maintenance, changing the players health and how they take damage, realistic weather and seasons, making mobs smarter and more challenging, realistic torches, and intense visuals to provide more challenging and immersive game play.

-A massive collection of dungeons and structures that litter its vast landscapes created by mods like Terra forged, Traverse Reforged, and Dynamic trees and are complete with deep farming and cooking extensions.

-For a TON of late game action the pack is equipped with an amazingly expansive spaceship and future tech mod Beyond Earth, Draconic evolution, and the amazingly immersive multiblock reactor and turbine mod called Extreme reactors for late game power and near endless possibility for endgame progression.

CURRENT MODLIST AS OF THE MASSIVE CONTENT UPDATE IN V1.3:

As I have said above, almost everything in the tech expansion of the pack has been changed to be harder. as of right now I am still working on the quest book side of things, so below is a general outline of all of the things I have changed and the general gist of thing till I can get the guide working. Remember to use your JEI to use learn all of the recipes as it is normally a pretty good guide to how things work, have fun and ask for help if you need it!

Changes to mods and general progression:

  • Unification of all ingots, Plates, Gears, Rods and dusts to use the Thermal suite unless otherwise necessary, inventory mannagment can get tedious to storage drawers has been updated to hold alot more items and is not a feasible solution to early game hording.
  • Disabling of crafting table creation of Rods, plates, wires, and dusts with the engineers hammer and wire cutters and added them to Create milling and rolling for early game.
  • Almost every recipe from create and immersive engineering has been changed to require create mechanical crafting, and the majority of the early game is using create to craft most of the items from immersive engineering.
  • You need to use create mixing to craft the blast furnace and get steel for almost everything in the pack, this will bleed far into thermal expansion and late game so a steady supply is recomended early.
  • The crusher from immersive is the first achievable form of ore doubling, and many of the multiblock machines it offers are the only upgrades from create you will get before thermal machines.
  • the only form of early game power should come from the alternator from create additions(a machine that turns create force from create into rf). From this mod i removed the accumulator, connector/wires, induction heater because they were redundant.
  • For early game power transport immersive is the only way to go, for fluids and items consider create or the immersive suite. Pipez is disabled until tier two crafting now
  • All  alloy "Blends" have been removed from crafting table, most alloys can only be made with the Ac furnace and kiln from immersive, then ultimately the induction smelter from thermal.
  • All thermal gears crafting recipes must be made with the metal press and shortly after the electric one from immersive engineering, this is to ensure you cannot craft thermal machines before you get the tier tow crafting table.
  • the next main source of power available to you is from the multiblock machines in immersive that create and produce rf with diesel and other fuels, once you establish a refinery you can use it well into the late game to power with thermal dynamos.
  • The advanced crafting table is a workbench that serves as the seperation between tier one, and tier two crafting and is your primary goal for getting to the "mid game"
  • All thermal expansion machines and tools now require 5x5 crafting using the Advanced Crafting Table, as well as the parts from immersive engineering and other mods you should have touched base with by now.
  • Now that you have thermal machines and the advanced crafter thermal dynamos can become a decent source of power and should be explored for "mid game " power solutions.
  • A few key items from refined storage(grid, machine casing, controller, disk drive, importer and exporter) to use 5x5 crafting and make the mod a little more mid game.
  • Many of the items from advanced rocketry have been changed to use thermal machines to jump start, this is intentional and there is still alot of work to be done with this mod.
  • Jetpacks from simply jetpacks have all been changed to require advanced crafting and thermal parts.
  • The quarry is now a late game item, the machine used to build it require 7x7 crafting.
  • As of right now, your late game source of power is going to come from Extreme reactors and Draconic evolution to store it all as well as produce it with its reactor if you dare. Draconic evolution has the best set of armor in the game hands down it should be your goal.
  • Future plans:
  • change iron furncaces to require machine parts like plates and rods
  • Change more of the recipes from advanced rocketry to require 7x7 crafting and maybe even draconic crafting.

This world is certainly an unforgiving one… But underneath the sickening swarms of monsters and rotting ruins of this ancient place there is an endless beauty in the sprawling landscapes and forests that yearns to be conquered

Each deeply complex world is the product of an insane combination of the powerful terrain generator Terraforged, the classic beauty of Traverse, a full suite of living forests from Dynamic Trees, Yung’s Host of amazing: Cave, Mineshaft and stronghold revamps, a host of new immersive creatures and unique monsters, powerful new bosses, and endless dungeons and Structures to plunder… if you're brave enough. Possibly my three of my favorite mods; Ice and fire, Mowzies Mobs and Lycanites mobs, provide an absolutely yucky arsenal of mythological creatures to slay and tame when combined with Champions and a Blood-moon. These can range from dragons and sea serpents to cockatrices and Crazy fusion monsters from Lycanites, and are complemented by deep improvements to vanilla mobs and animals with mods like Alex Mobs, Illagers+, Aquaculture, Animalium, Better animals plus, Pams Harvestcraft Food Core, Genetic animals, Rats, Buzzier Bees, Exotic Birds, sapience… You get it there's a lot.

You’re going to need decent gear and strong allies on your side if you want to survive out here, take inventory of the various utilities at your disposal to ensure your backpack and tool belt always have what you need to overcome your foes in those tight spots.

First and foremost your most useful and achievable set of tools are going to be with Tinkers construct as its the main mod in the pack for customizable gear and is compatible with other mods for some VERY powerful early and late game options, I recommend starting to use QOL tool mods like Backpacks, Toolbelts, Waystones, Bountiful Baubles, Archers Paradox, Advanced Hook Launchers, Nature's Compass, DWMH, Locks (on the server), Miners Helmet, Torchmaster, training dummies, Iron Furnaces, and a combination of  Iron chest and storage drawers to keep yourself organised . Then surround yourself with powerful allies and pets, Craft an empire with Minecolonies and defend kingdom with guards, train man's best friend to be fearsome pal with Doggy Talents, hire Guard Villagers, Tame  Unique Mounts with Lycanites, Grow a pet dragon with ice and fire and take your world with fire and blood. If you're a builder like me I hope you’ll enjoy the new toys you get to play with in Chisel and bits, Macaws: Doors, Trapdoors and windows, Fairy Lights, Cooking for blockheads, Supplementaries, Decorative Blocks and extended lights to help really bring your world to life.

The magics of this place are complex and deep and offer lesions both new and old that are sure to keep you digging through dusty tomes with unbridled curiosity , often integrated into the world ive found everything from the flowers and bees, to the stars in the sky all serve a purpose that is deeper than the surface level.

Aside from lycanites internal magic system i decided to highlight two of my favorite magic mods as the forefront for the packs  magic system, Botania and Astral sorcery add some amazing perks and items so dont put them off. Possibly one of my favorite things about the pack is all the amazing dimensions to explore like Twilight forrest, Atum, The undergarden, and all the crazy updates to existing dimensions that really make them pop. Vanilla enchanting is also revolutionized by the combination of Apotheosis and Enscorilation to allow higher than normal levels and some crazy new enchantments for your gear.
